Ceramic Lesson for Small Groups in Vietri sul Mare

It’s enjoyable to collaborate and exchange resources. When dealing with clay, there’s an opportunity to learn about the production process of majolica. Additionally, the young ones get to apply some basic concepts of geometry and physics.

Highlights
  • Pulcinella sciòroom - I decided to add an experience dedicated to kids, and more generally to family groups, because working with schools, I was fascinated by their amazement and their joy in discovering themselves capable of modeling clay, giving the desired shape. The guests will be involved in the creation of a donkey: a symbolic subject of the coastal towns perched on the Mediterranean sea that has become part of the iconography of Vietri ceramics. Guests will share the steps of the realization and will have the opportunity to compare their works and skills so that they can learn together. Making an object manually helps to get to know each other and working together with others helps to know others and to relate to each other.

Fun, intimate vibe - Excellent, passionate teacher! Me and my husband did this experience on our honeymoon and we 100% recommend. The atmosphere was intimate, relaxed and we had a lot of fun trying to create a donkey from clay.

We had a lovely experience learning about ceramics from Elvira! - We visited Elvira's studio (11 year old and 14 year old kids) and had a lovely, relaxing time working with clay. Elvira is welcoming and a patient teacher. Would recommend this to everyone who wants to experience an aspect of Italian art and culture first hand.
