Amazing ride on the black sand under the rising winter sun. - Staff were friendly and welcoming. We were able to interact with the horses before getting in the saddle. The instructors were experienced and knowledgeable and explained everything in a clear but not patronizing way. The horses were sturdy, calm and sure-footed. We are able to spend an hour in the saddle, walking from the stables to the black sand beach and along the length of the beach under the rising sun on a beautiful calm and sunny morning. There was time for pictures on the horses on the beach before coming back and getting to 'tolt' - an Icelandic horse kind of trot. Great experience and one to repeat.

Super fun! - This was super fun. The views were just so pretty and the beaches were so gorgeous. The guides were really sweet and funny as well. Pretty expensive for just an hour but we still enjoyed our time and glad we did this

October 2024 evening ride - It seemed the horses were well cared for by the staff and each of their personalities (horse-onalities? :p)was well understood and matched to the riders. Highly recommended!

My first horse ride - It was my first time riding a horse. The staff was very kind and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and confident (they gave me the sweetest horse in the stable) ❤️🙏

The Icelandic horse I rode was sometimes lazy, but very friendly! - The Icelandic horses were very cute, and the guide leading us was also very friendly. The weather was great that day, making it a wonderful experience for beginners. The horses didn’t walk too fast and would slowly follow the horses in front.

Short beautiful ride. - Beautiful location and stunning horses. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. But the ride was very short. If you want to cross it off the list and have plenty more to do, it’s great.

Lovely ride but their photos were not good - I enjoyed the horse ride. The staff were knowledgeable and said they'd take photos at the beach, and for riders not to. I was however REALLY upset checking later to find the photo of me riding at the beach inexplicably didn't include the iconic Reynisdrangar! Absolutely gutted. I wanted to come here for 3 years for this pic - now I'm just on a horse 'somewhere'. It really spoiled the memory for me. I have no idea why the person taking the photos would not include that as surely we can expect that as standard and not have to ask. Others at my hotel all had it in theirs.
