• Vík Horse Adventure - Our stable is the start and ending point for our horseback rides. The ride will lead us along our local black sand beaches at Vík í Mýrdal, called Víkurfjara.

Minimum age 10 years, maximum weight 100kg/220lb, unfortunately no pregnant people can ride.

Enjoy a picturesque horseback tour on the stunning black sand coasts of Vík, situated in Southern Iceland. \n \n Our Black Beach Horse Ride is a breezy, one-hour tour that is ideal for beginners or those who don’t ride often. However, we are certainly accommodating to all experience levels. Our horses are friendly and have excellent footing, making them ideal for traversing the harsh Icelandic terrain. Spot puffins soaring above in the summer, whilst the stark weather fluctuations during winter lend a unique character to the already beautifully rugged landscape. \n \n Tours primarily progress at a walk, but those who feel confident can attempt the tölt, the distinctive gait of Icelandic horses. \n \n Be advised, we impose a weight limit of 100kg/220lb, and ask that riders be at least 10 years old. Please ensure your arrival at the stable is 15 minutes prior to designated departure time.
