- Icelandic Mountain Guides by Icelandia - Mýrdalsjökull Base Camp - The tour begins base nearby the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in South Iceland. We start by going over the tour plan and safety instructions. From the base we cross some small rivers and head down to the black lava sands fields which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. Down by the black beach we stop and enjoy the amazing view up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the coast to the southernmost part of Iceland, the small peninsula Dyrhólaey. We then head along the coast to the famous aircraft wreck, from there we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of the mountain. Upon our return we follow the mountain back to the base.
The ATV experience itself lasts approximately 2 hours. You will ride 2 people per ATV, with one driving and one as a passenger. If you are traveling alone, or in an odd-numbered group (3, 5, 7 etc.) there is an additional charge payable locally for single riders.
The adventure will provide stunning photo opportunities in good weather, so don’t forget to bring your camera!
You will be provided with everything you need for a safe and comfortable ride. No ATV experience is required to take part and the skill level for this activity is deemed as ‘easy’.

Please be at our location 30 minutes before the start of the tour.
Our main base is Ytri-Sólheimar 1 in Mýrdalur about 25km west of Vík and about 11km east of Skógar. From Reykjavík there is about 160km and the driving time is about 2hours. From the main road is 1.2km drive by road 222 to our base.

Riding quad with the Icelandic devil 😈💯 - Had the best time and the best guide for the trip, Magni. The weather was beautiful and the experience super fun. If you go to Iceland this is a must. Until next time.

Best Views in Iceland! - This tour was epic! Our guide, Anthony, was a 10/10. There were some misbehavers on our tour, but Anthony handled this very well and we were able to get under way with no issues. Having no prior experience driving an ATV, and being just a little lady, I was immediately put at ease by the clear and concise instructions. The views were incredible. This was not an experience I will soon forget :)

Unique experience! - Activities to do in Iceland to fully enjoy the wonders of the landscape. The tour is impeccably organized; after having equipped ourselves with the necessary equipment, on board our quads, we were guided by two super prepared and nice guys who allowed us to experience indescribable emotions. At the end of the experience you can only be satisfied!

Don't miss it! - Magne was an amazing guide, super funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. The tour is long, so the money is well spent and you have enough breaks to switch in case you are using x1 ATV in two.
