At your arrival to the base, you will be fitted with an insulated cover-all, helmet and a balaclava face mask. When you are all geared up and ready you will step into a glacier truck that will drive you to to the snowmobiles. (1 hour each way)
Your professional snowmobile guide will show you how to manoeuvre a snowmobile and then you head off on to the ice cap. You will spend about 1 hour on snowmobile driving around the ice cap, stopping at spectacular photo stops and educational and fun tellings from the guide.

Please be at our location 30 minutes before the start of the tour.
Our main base is Ytri-Sólheimar 1 in Mýrdalur about 25km west of Vík and about 11km east of Skógar. From Reykjavík there is about 160km and the driving time is about 2hours. From the main road is 1.2km drive by road 222 to our base.

Snowmobiling - Bjarki was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable about the volcanos and glaciers. He even helped us when we flipped our snowmobile over on accident and made sure we were okay. 10/10 would recommend, an experience of a lifetime.

It was a great day, great time where we went up in the van and snowmobiled for about an hour with one stop. It was nice! - Pawel and Oskar were amazing. We had a great time and enjoyed our experience. They explained how to use it and safety rules very well and did it at a good pace for us.

Snowmobile Adventure - Jawn was gas, Pawel, Ciupa, and Oskar were valid. Snowmobiles were in great shape and the views were spectacular.

Not to be missed!! - This tour has been the highlight of our trip so far. And to think we only ended up on it because our other tour didn’t go ahead. The weather absolutely turned it on for us, the glacier was amazing. The views from every moment were just insane. Our guide Magni was absolutely stellar! So fun and enthusiastic and just as stoked about the conditions and day as we were, just made it feel all the more exciting! Magni and Oskar were both super informative and we had such fun chats the whole time. Couldn’t recommend a tour or guides more than this one. Made our experience 1 in a million and we are so greatful!

Awesome experience - We had an amazing tour led by Magni and Óskar! We were lucky to have very beautiful weather, but even without that Magni had a great sense of humor and was able to tell us all about the landscape and history around us.

Highly highly recommended - It was the best tour we’ve had in Iceland. Incredible landescape, and we drove snowmobile on that crazy nature. Big thanks to our lovely guide Magni who gave us literally unforgettable moments❤️!

Amazing Adventure - The tour was amazing! We rescheduled due to bad weather and were rewarded with phenomenal views and an amazing guide Pawel! Felt safe all the time and got some very interesting information about the glacier and the volcanic system below. Thanks for that!!

Very nice people, very cool experience - This tour on the snowmobiles was amazing. There was a mistake made by our tour operater with the reservation.
The staff of Icelandia did everyting possible to solve the problem. They were great. Thanks again. My son could ride with guide Magni. He was so nice! Everybody was! An amazing afternoon!
