Extraordinary - This was a great experience with a capable, informative and very safety conscious guide. I think the hike was described as easy, which it wasn’t (in part because we are seniors), but it was certainly doable by most people who like to hike. Awe inspiring views we will never forget. The guide took care to watch after these 2 seniors.

Pinnacle Experience While Visiting Iceland! - This experience was truly amazing and the cherry on top to what was already considered a great visit to Iceland. My dad and I decided to try something different and take to the ice, looking to learn and be a part of something super unique. The Troll Expeditions team, Batcha, James, and Tamara were extremely friendly, funny, well organized, and super knowledgable about the glacier and all of the equipment we utilized (harness, ice pick, clampons, etc.). The group consisted of 12 individuals which ended up being a perfect amount. Once atop the glacier there is nothing but spectacular views... the extension of the glacier, the lagoon, the mountains, and the ocean! Additionally, Batcha gave us all a chance to climb one of the ice walls of the glacier which was much harder than it looked, ha! The glacier hike was not rushed and allowed for ample amount of time to learn, ask questions, photograph, and take it all in. Many thanks for such a great experience!! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit here!

Great Tour of Glacier but no kids allowed!!! - I’m giving a 5 start rating but THIS TOUR COMPANY SHOULD NOT ALLOW KIDS UNDER 12 TO GO. Again, we enjoyed the tour and our guide was great but we were plagued by parents who brought their 9 and 7 year olds. Our guide was Kuba and it was my party of 4 family/adults and their family of 4. It was informative and I got great pictures but the kids were slow and one of them ended up wining and crying for 2nd half of the tour. I paid good money not to be babysitting someone else’s kid. If you can’t put your own boots on you shouldn’t be able to go. As such, an age limit is required. We still gave the company a great score but if you see kids on your tour, you need to demand that the kids don’t go.

Amazing- made great memories - Lovely experience overall. Tour guide was very helpful and friendly and gave extra information and made it fun- not boring like most tour guides. It was stunning and don't be put off by the dirty look on photos, as it's just volcanic ash and clears as you climb up. Easy and enjoyable for children too! Correct equipment provided and made sure it was comfy and all that. Hike was not difficult and about three quarters of an hour is used setting up and then you walk over. Made some lovely memories and definitely recommend to anyone.

It's a short walk not a 3h hike - Very little walk on the glacier, max 1h vs 3h. Too many stops and too slow. The guide was great despite the format being very deceiving.
