A zipline journey is an exhilarating escapade, perfect for those seeking an exciting yet incredibly safe experience. You kick off the exhilarating tour with a brief 3-minute vehicle trip to the launching site that offers a stunning view over one of Iceland’s significant glaciers, Mýrdalsjökull. The adventure gets even better as it’s a blend of light hiking across the magnificent Icelandic terrain through a river canyon known as Grafargil. We traverse uneven terrain and ride ziplines strategically located over rivers and waterfalls. There are two ziplines, one stretching 240 meters and the other 140 meters. In the course of the journey, there’s a touch of thrill, one part is aptly called The Leap of Faith. The tour usually wraps up with a pleasant stroll back via the old highway no.1. While zooming down the ziplines, don’t miss the opportunity to admire the surrounding landscape, it´s striking and offers a bird’s-eye perspective.

Fantastic m - This experience was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Þráinn and Katla were both fantastic as well as encouraging. They gave perfect instructions to a group of us that had never zip lined before. They were even great with communication about moving me to an earlier time.
Aside note, there is a minimum amount of hiking required, so just be prepared.

So much fun!! - This activity was one of the highlights of our girls trip to Iceland. It was our first time ziplining and we had an amazing time with Sammi and his crew. They were professional and we felt safe the entire time. We loved the scenic mini hikes between each line and were given a brief history of the area. The surprise bonus at the end was fabulous!

Spectacular and Highly Recommend! - Our zip lining experience was fantastic. Þráinn and Katla geared us up and drove us to the location. They really enjoy their jobs. It was snowing lightly that morning which made it even more wonderful. Each zip line was so much fun as they made sure we were safely attached to the line. The hike with the views were beautiful. We had so much fun. Thank you for you expertise.

Fabulous experience ! - Great guys to work with and a lot of fun. Sammy and his team were great. We did not want it to end. Ride to the top and some short easy walks between lines. Good speed on line and bungy part at end great!

Zip line adventure - It was my first time zip lining and it was great! The walks between the lines were beautiful, but tricky in some places. The guides were excellent, very encouraging and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience!! - We’ve zip lined in many places but this experience was the most scenic! I would have done it again immediately after finishing it was so fun, and so beautiful. We had wonderful guides! I highly recommend Vik zip lining to anyone visiting Iceland!

Fun place to be! - Our activity was moved to another day because of the hard weather condions. But service was extremely good. We took this experience with my 11 years old son and our play Donkie Ihaa. Even we had to skip the longest line because of the wind it was great fun. Thank you Sammi and the team!
