Interesting History of Port Wine - We took the guided tour and did the premium tasting at Cockburns during our November visit. The tour was interesting and our guide was great - she was nice, answered all of our questions, and provided a ton of knowledgeable information. My husband and I decided that we do not like port wine, but we felt that you must at least try it while in Porto. There are many many different wine cellars to choose from if you are looking for a tasting, and Cockburns would be a great choice if you want to learn the history of port and try a variety of it.

Nice guided tour - Interesting guided tour through cellars with nice smilling girl, who informed us about all the important. Degustation was excellent and samples of wine fantastic.

Cockburn's Cellars Tour - Excellent and interesting tour of Cockburn's Cellars. I thought it was also good value for money. The port and chocolate's tasting was a nice way to finish the tour.

Fantastic afternoon -
What a fantastic afternoon. Our guide Matilde was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. The tour was fascinating and gave a great insight into the history of the company. The cellars were amazing as was the story of the cooper's who made the barrels. The three choices of wines and chocolates were delicious and whilst they couldn't be shipped to the UK, were able to be purchased afterwards to take home with you. The location was in the Gaia area of Porto which came with its own history of how it came to be there. Highly recommended, a great afternoon.

Superb Port Cellar Tour & Tasting - Excellent tour in a fabulous setting. We emailed Cockburns late evening requesting a booking and were emailed back early the next morning. No payment required until you arrive and you can then pick your tasting. We picked the Port & Chocolate tasting which was fab. Our tour guide was amazing- she was really knowledgeable and encouraged loads of questions. This was definitely the best tour of our trip to Porto. I would highly recommend it as it really exceeded our expectations. Also the whole area of Nova de Gaia is quite vibrant and worth a stroll through.

Guided tour port wine house Porto - Interesting and not too long a tour of an impressive port company. Nice tasting, recommend bringing in chocolate or cheese, yum to the port.

Cockburn's Cellars Amazing Tour for Honeymooners - Touring Cockburn's cellars was one of our favorite memories from our honeymoon! Knowledgable and professional tour guides, leisurely paced, and the wine and chocolate pairing at the end was highly enjoyable--made extra special by the complimentary port they provided in celebration of our honeymoon! Strongly recommend to anyone visiting Porto!

CAVES COCKBURN S - Excellent visit, and special, for being in the evening and on Halloween day. While we are shown the typical Port wine cellars, reserve some scary surprises. At the end the taste of 3 varieties of Port Cockburn's wine. Visiting
