A great taste of Oporto! - Great welcome, great staff, especially the knowledgeable Ricardo. The port was pretty good, as was the cheese. I am determined to drink more port in the future.

Port & Cheese Perfect Combination - We spent an enjoyable couple of hours on a rainy Oct afternoon visiting Quevedo Family port house, tasting 4 different types of port paired extremely well with the cheese. Our guide was very friendly & knowledgeable about the history of Quevedo port. To begin with I wasn't a big fan of all the ports but paired with the cheese. Wow what a difference, complemented the flavour of the port. Favourite Ruby

Good Value for Money & a Great Intro to Port Wines - I was late and they still let me do the activity in full which was great. Beautiful spot in an old building by a window with a one on one experience All the cheese & port was delicious and the info was interesting not boring No pressure to buy anything but was there if you wanted

Wine and Cheese Paring Missed the Boat - The wine pairing was OK. There was a presentation about port wine and how it was made. The wine tasting included 3 fairly healthy pours of 3 types of port wine. The presentation included an explanation on how the 3 port wines differed from one another. The guide named the 3 cheeses that were in front of us. He offered his opinion on his favorite pairing; however, there was no explanation of why one might pair 1 of the cheese samples with 1 of the wine varieties. In my opinion, the explanation of “why” you might pair wine with a certain food is the purpose of a “pairing”. Although the presentation on wine was interesting, the “pairing” missed the boat in Porto!
