Great afternoon or wine/port tasting and education! - It was a very enjoyable afternoon with Vitor and our group (only four people, yay!). He was lively and friendly, and our first stop at a Solar dos Dragos wine/port shop was truly a wonder. We tasted three wines and two ports. Andrea was knowledgeable and passionate about explaining each selection and the history of her company.
The other two stops, both port houses, were equally enjoyable. They featured more port and the last stop, Fonesca, which featured a museum, tasting rooms, and port storage and making facilities.
I highly recommend this tour if you want to taste some great wine and port and learn about its history and the people who make it.

Perfect tour with perfect guide - The tour was very informative and our guide was perfect. We were at several cellars and learned a lot about portwine. Definitely a must.

Wonderful Wine Tour. - I’m sure there’s many tour with great guides and thankfully this one was recommended to us and lived up to it.
We met our guide, Maria at the Tourist office at Gaia and proceeded to Fonseca one of the homes of Port wine.
At this point the winery’s own guide who walked us through from grape to bottle in the Douro region and it’s famous Ports in particular, where we taste two of the Bin27 and Tawny and a Ruby from the house.
Then on to Vasques D Carvelho, where Maria talked us through three of their offerings.
and finally on to Vila Nova do Gaia, 5more tasting accompanied with nibbles to complement to wonderful Port wine on offer.
The tour started at 2:30 and went through till 6:00pm a wonderful afternoon enjoyment with many interesting strangers whose walls are quickly diminished with the help of the local nectar.
This tour was a great afternoons entertainment with fantastic and interesting presentations from all the guides…we thank you

A taste of Porto - The food was great and so was the company. We got to see a lot of really cool local spots. It was a good mixture and balance of food and drink. Highly recommend!

Expect quality in wines and stories - Andre was a great guide, born and raised in the region of Gaia, understands a lot about the production of wines and likes to share his knowledge. I recommend a good lunch and physical preparation for the afternoon of a lot of tasting and learning.

Great experience but don't panic if the guide is not there at tge time you are given to show ups - Lots of interesting information and the wines were delicious. Not too much walking and the pace was good. Our guide was friendly, informative and amusing. Only slight downside, we were asked to get to the meeting point 20 minutes before tour by guide only turned up a couple of minutes before it started.
