Fun filled day!! - This experience was amazing!! To seeing beautiful birds, the amazing views while riding a horse to the thrilling ride back down the mountain. It felt even better to plant a tree at the end of the trip. The guides were very nice and informative. If you ever get the chance to book this tour please do!!

This experience exceeded... - This experience exceeded all expectations. From start to finish the crew was great. We started our morning with feeding the parrots which was an experience alone. From there, we had breakfast and jumped on our horses. The views horseback riding were unmatched. It was a little warm out but the breeze kept us cool. After horse back riding we took a break and hit the trail on the UTV. We had a TIME.

Amazing experience!! - I would highly recommend this tour for people that love the outdoors. The tour guides were very friendly! The little puppies are very friendly! The horseback riding was so much fun and to cap it off the Utv experience was great! We saw a little baby deer and turtles!!

A great countryside ride - It was great I truly enjoyed myself and the staff was amazing. Staff was very attentive and supportive. The experience is one of a lifetime for somebody that never rode a horse before. also seen a beautiful birds with nice as well.

Culture, Conservation and Snacks - This tour has the perfect blend of activity, snacks, local culture, and education about ecological conservation. It is about 70-80 minute ride from Cartagena to Fundacion Loros outside the city in an agricultural area with some native forest. At the Fundacion they rehabilitate animals, especially parrots, macaws, and monkeys to be released into the nearby forest. The goal is not to interact with the animals but to prepare them to live in the wild. We saw the parrots that were being trained to be released, and then rode horses uphill to the release point by the forest at the top of the hill. It was hot, but cold water was provided (and later cold juice back at the starting point.) My teens and I really enjoyed the horses; they followed direction well, and we always felt safe. We walked and took an UTV ride around the agricultural area. Many fruit trees have been planted as a source of income and as a food source for the birds. We were a bit unlucky in that most of the fruit wasn't quite ripe during our visit. The tour is a bit dependent on what is available at the time. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. It is an excellent way to spend a day outside of the city of Cartagena.

Best Memory - Our tour guide Alejandro was amazing he provided a lot of information about the parrots and the animals. We had a fun time in the UTV & horseback riding and being away from the city 10/10 experience :)

Horseback riding experience - We really enjoyed this whole entire experience from beginning to end. It’s about a hour from Cartagena so be prepared for a nice ride. They do offer to pick you up and drop you off. There’s breakfast included also we got a super tasty fresh mango juice! Our guide was bilingual and she was very helpful. Everyone was super friendly. We also got to plant a tree! 10 out of 10. We plan to visit again in the future to see how much the community has grown. We loved it!!

Great experience in the country side of Colombia. - I went with my two sons. It was their first time riding a horse. They loved it. Everyone there was really nice and took time to answer all of our questions about the parrots and the macaws. They also told us all about yucca farming along with educating us on all the fruit trees. My kids both love mangos so the guide stop on the way and pick some up for a snack. I would highly recommend this trip especially if you have kids.

Incredibly unique and informative eco adventure - Highly recommend this experience—it’s more than a tour. It’s an immersion filled with knowledge and hands on learning about parrots, macaws, plants and people. I thoroughly enjoyed my adventure with Lilly and Alberto including helping feed parrots, horseback riding, hiking, and planting a mango tree. A very unique and memorable experience (and as a solo female traveler I felt quite safe throughout my time with them). If you like nature, animals, or just want to be immersed in authentic adventure, definitely check this out.

Parrot haven - It was an amazing experience for animals and nature lovers. The tour guides were extremely informative and friendly. All the staff members made us feel welcomed. The horses and dogs were so friendly as well! A definite YES for nature lovers. The staff really care about rehabilitating the parrots and caring for them. We even saw a parrot that was rescued and is now doing a lot better. Drive pick up and drop off to your hotel as well. 5/5!
