- Jiankou Great Wall - The meeting point is the hotel lobby at approximately 7:30 AM. The journey to the base of Jiankou Great Wall takes around 2.5 hours. The hike begins at about 10:00 AM, following a zigzag hillside trail that quickly ascends to Jiankou Liang. It takes roughly 40 minutes to reach Jiankou Liang, where a ladder is used to access the Great Wall. The climb is steep and on a high mountain, requiring the use of hands to navigate the rocks and walls. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Jiankou Great Wall, known as the most challenging section. The route leads towards Zhengbeilou Tower, an excellent spot for appreciating the Great Wall’s scenery. The Jiankou section remains wild and unrestored, maintaining its original state.
The descent path is located below the Zhengbeilou watchtower. The entire hike takes about 4-5 hours, covering approximately 8 kilometers from the base of Jiankou Great Wall, onto the Great Wall, and down the hill. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended. Bottled water will be provided during the tour. Feel free to bring snacks if desired.

Hiking from Jiankou to Mutianyu - It was an amazing trip.
I highly recommend this tour for those who like hiking and adventure.
The guide i had is very good and we spent a full day on the Wall.
We had lunch after and he told me many things bout the Wall.
Thanks to him everything was awesome.

A very unique Great Wall experience - This 5 hour hike was a really cool way to explore various parts of the wall including unrestored sections which were both challenging and rewarding to traverse. Got to see lots of great views usually not seen by the standard tourist. Was physically demanding with some really steep ascents and descents so keep that in mind when deciding if this hike is right for you. My guide Shane was also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for those that think they can handle it!

Not your typpical walk in the park, but definitely worth it! - Lindsey was a great guide and very patient, allowing me to rest as needed. It was nice being in an area that wasn't overloaded with tourists and gave you a real feeling of the history of the area. Lunch was delicious followed by a relaxing drive back to our hotel. Lindsey even picked flowers as we hiked and gave me the bouquet in honor of Chinese Valentines Day which was the day after our hike. We had a great time. For us, that was the best way to see the Great Wall.

Great Wall Hike - We had an amazing experience hiking the wall with a very knowledgeable guide who spoke English very well. Would highly recommend this tour company and this hike! The tour guide took amazing photos of us, and shared many interesting facts about China and the Great wall. It was a dream come true to hike the wall and this specific hike is the ultimate way to experience both the old and new parts of the Great Wall!

Great, challenging hike - Thanks to the early start in Beijing we arrived at the small village and started our 1 hour hike to the wall (first tower). There were no other people at all. Enjoying spectacular views we continued around 2 hours on the wall when we saw the first other hikers. This special tour allows you deep impressions of the real un-restored part of the Great Wall.
Our tour guide David Jiang explained in perfect English all historical data and also made marvelous photos which we received at the same day!!
I visited the Great Wall the 3rd time, but this special tour with David was by far the best!

Great sight seing - It is a hard walk to get to the great wall but nce you are there the sight seing is beautifull. Perhaps the gide should have to take care a little bit more of us because there are parts were you have to be bery carefull.
