The journey commences at the village of Virpazar, one of the earliest settlements in this area. Here, you will prepare your kayaks, safeguard your possessions in dry bags, receive a brief rundown and some instructions before setting off. The initial phase of your journey will be along the small river Crmnica, running under the Old Bridge, constructed in 1905. Thereafter, you will traverse through regions of tall water grass. This area is a nature preservation park home to a large diversity of bird species. Half an hour into the journey, the spectacular Skadar Lake, one of our five National parks will greet you. Moving ahead for the next 30 minutes will bring you to the Grmozur island hosting a small deserted fort that once served as a prison in the 19th century. An additional hour of paddling will take you to the Lesendro fort - a structure from the 18th century along with another deserted fort on a different island. A brief stopover later, you will continue towards the Pelinovo beach as a spot for a drink and a swim. Once rested, you will begin your return journey via the same route back to Virpazar.
