This fort is a former prison and is known as Montenegrin Alcatraz. Various species of birds make their nests on the walls, and it’s an excellent place for birdwatching and creating some wonderful pictures.

Continue your cruise towards the mouth of the Morača River, where one of the bird reserves is located. Make a stop up the hill on the Vranjina peninsula to visit the 13th-century Orthodox monastery of St. Nicholas.

After that, return to the ship from where you set sail back to Virpazar. In the meantime, you can decide to swim in the river or in the open lake.
