The Medieval Transylvania Tour takes you on a leisurely journey through two remarkable sites in Transylvania- the Viscri village and the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, known as one of the most well-preserved townships in Europe.
Our adventure begins with a trip to Viscri village, a traditional Saxon settlement that boasts of a rich history going back centuries in Transylvania. Here, a local blacksmith will welcome us into his workspace, demonstrating the workings of a traditional blacksmith shop. This fascinating process will be presented as part of an exclusive horse cart tour.
Post a delicious lunch, we bid goodbye to Viscri and head towards the city of Sighisoara. As we traverse the path, you will get to savour the taste of genuine Transylvanian jams made with a familial recipe that traces back to old-world grandmothers.
Our tour ends in the city of Sighisoara- a living testimony to the 16th-century aesthetics of Transylvania. It stands as one of the most preserved cities all over Europe, and is the only Romanian city that has retained its ancient looks. It also holds the distinction of being the last inhabited medieval citadel in Europe.
