Outstanding Tours & Tour Guide, Nam - Our visit to Long Tan was a deeply moving and educational experience, made unforgettable by our exceptional tour guide Nam. From the moment we arrived, the guide’s professionalism and knowledge of the history surrounding the Long Tan Cross Memorial were evident. Na provided detailed insights into the Battle of Long Tan, What stood out most was his ability to strike the perfect balance between historical accuracy and heartfelt respect for the soldiers who fought and fell here. The guide (Nam) was also incredibly approachable, answering all our questions thoughtfully. The tour included plenty of time to reflect at the memorial, which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed learning about the local area and its connection to the events of the Vietnam War. If you’re visiting Long Tan, Nui Dat or requiring a guide or around Ho Chi Minh City, Nam is the guide, her is an absolute must – he brought the history to life and made it an experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommended Nam and the HCM City Tour as well as the Long Tan, Nui Dat. Thank you Nam - Tony & Nola

Amazing experience - This tour exceeded our expectations and was incredibly organised. We had an amazing day trip where we learnt so much about Vietnamese history and culture. Ms Huong is one of our favourite tour guides in Saigon, her passion and knowledge was the highlight of the tour. We would definitely recommend this tour, especially for first time travellers to Vietnam.

A day to Remember - Our one day trip to Nui Dat and Vung Tau was a great experience. Ms Huong guided us, her detailed knowledge and experience gave us the best insights into the Nui Dat Army Base and surrounds including the tunnels. At the Long Tan Cross we laid flowers and paused to remember all those young lives lost in battle. At Vung Tau we had lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Other highlights were the visit to the White Palace and the lookout. From our pick up at our hotel to our return Ms Huong made sure we were well looked after. Thank you Ms Huong and driver for such a memorable day.

Solo Vietnam War history tour - Whilst born during the conflict I've long had an interest in Australian involvement. As a result I chose to visit Vung Tau and chose this tour with Giang and Mrs Huong. It was probably the best tour I've been on. There was far more to the tour than I expected and Mrs Huong took me to several other places of interest. Her knowledge and Aussie knowledge and accent was a revelation! Over 20yrs experience including holding services, maintaining sites, her contacts, intimate knowledge and even hosting fmr PM Howard underscore what an impressive day this turned out to be. Those familiar with the Battle of Long Tan will know where to go and what to see however Mrs Huong adds so much much including some additional visits. If you have any interest in a tour please select this. Her engaging personality stood out from introduction to farewell in HCMC. Seriously, a 20/10 experience!

Battle of Long Tan Tour with VTVFCF in Vung Tau - We cannot recommend the VTVFCF Long Tan Nui Dat tour highly enough. Our guide, Chris, who is an Australian veteran, was a wealth of knowledge and presented this in a respectful and sensitive way. He's also very entertaining and great company! We enjoyed every aspect of this well organised tour. We had private transfers arranged by Chris to and from our accommodation in Ho Tram. The tour started at Belly's Bar in Vung Tau and included visits to the Nui Dat base, the Long Phuoc Tunnels and the Long Tan battlefield. All very interesting and Chris really brought the battles alive with his commentary and photos and also his personal experiences in Vietnam. The tour also included a visit to the birthplace and memorial to Vo Thi Sau - the famous female heroine and martyr. There were only a few other tourists on the route, which made for an even better experience. An added bonus of taking this tour is knowing that the profits are used to support children and families in need via the VTVFCF. If you are able to stay in Vung Tau for a night it is well worth visiting the 'Robert Taylor Museum of Worldwide Arms' in Vung Tau the next day. The museum houses a phenomenal amount uniforms, guns, medals etc and was a real highlight of our visit to Vung Tau

A special experience - Our (myself and my two children 13 and 11) tour was amazing! My father served in Vietnam and it was so special to see where he was based. Our guide Huong even located where his camp would have been in Nui Dat. She stop the car happily every time I wanted to take a photo and her knowledge was extensive. Our lunch was in a beautiful location in vung tau and was delicious. I highly recommend doing this tour, especially if you have a connection to the Vietnam/American war. Please note that there isn’t a lot of evidence that Australia was there so a guide is essential. And the hills that were significant to the Australians and New Zealanders are now quarries so will not be there in ten years time. Grateful to have visited now. X
