Awesome long talk at Nui Dat and Long Tan - Did the tour today with Dingo as our guide and we were very happy. He asked about my father’s involvement in the conflict and customised the tour to involve parts of nui dat where my dad would’ve served. Dingo was also very knowledgeable about all of the locations and of the impacts of the war on Vietnam more broadly. He also holds some very authentic memorial ceremonies for you at each of the memorials and adheres to some of the most common Australian traditions within. Great day out!

Great Long Tan & 1 ATF tour. - Myself and partner were given an excellent tour by our lovely guide “Dingo Chen” of the 1ATF base at Nui Dat, including a touching ceremony at the old 6 RAR lines. We then went onto the old battlefield of Long Tan and the subsequent well established memorial. Where “Dingo” again showed his deepest respect for Australian servicemen. Followed by another stop at the old Fire Support Base at the Horseshoe. We were then led by “Dingo” through the Long Phuoc tunnels.
All in all a great day for my partner and I. “Dingo” had excellent knowledge of the area and upon informing him of my family’s and I military service he took great interest and was lovely to speak to.

Best Tour Guide You Can Have for the Historic Tour - “Mr Dingo” is the best choice you can make for this historic tour of the Australian and New Zealand army base at Nui Dat and the Long Tan battlefield where D Company 6 RAR confronted a regiment of North Vietnamese forces. Dingo has an encyclopaedic of the action and a deep respect for all the combatants. He is Tour Guide No 1 for anyone considering visiting this historic site.

Nit Dat and Long Tan Tour - Chien tour guide provided exceptional incite into the time of Australia’s involvement, and their soldiers involvement in the conflict in the phuoctuy Province. His personal experiences with previous visitors to both the Nui Dat and Long Tan memorial, were emotional and warming. Some of long lost lovers to politicians, singers and mots of all veterans that he had encountered on tours.
I highly recommend Chien Dingo +84976287513 to Ausies who would like to have a personalised tour.

Highly rate this tour, definitely do this while in Vietnam! - We had the most amazing day out with Dingo Chien today. Dingo has so much knowledge about the Australian Battlefields - Long Tan and Nui Dat and made the tour specific for our family history. He had many photos including maps and letters to show us and answered our endless questions easily. Dingo made our day very memorable with all the special moments he added. We had a very tasty lunch where we got to share stories and a laugh, Dingo has a great sense of humour. We were in a very comfortable and clean private bus with an excellent driver. Thank you for such a special day!

Long Tan and Nui Dat memorial tour - In our last few days in Saigon, we decided to take the tour to Nui Dat and Long Tan to pay respects to our Aussie veterans. I recommend our tour guide Dingo, he generously shared stories about his family and how an Aussie medic saved his Mum and sister. He was very knowledgeable about Nui Dat and knew all about where specific Aussie regements were stationed, where to find everything, as well as lots of stories to share.
Dingo was very respectful of our fallen soldiers and gave us flowers to pay respects at the memorials.
We were provided with Pho for lunch ( along with a beer or three, Dingo knows us Aussies well 😉)
I highly recommend Dingo, Aussies should ask him for the special " Dingo pub crawl tour!"

Long Tan Tunnel Snakes - We booked a private tour but ended up with another couple which wouldn’t normally be an issue but the vehicle didn’t accommodate us very well. Mitsubishi Outlander is not accommodating for 6 adults as we couldn’t remove our knees from our chin in the back row. This was not ideal for a 4 hour trip.
The booking times changed 3 times only to be notified at 10pm the night prior for a 7:20am pick up.
Although the tour was generally informative, a lot of remnants had deteriorated. We were then taken down the Long Tan tunnels where my wife had nearly stood on a snake. The tour guide failed to warn her even though he was in front of her. Although this was out of the control of the tour guide, the incident was disregarded as a minor issue as the snake is not considered poisonous. Whilst leaving the tunnel, we saw another group entering the tunnel where the snake was in. We thought it would be appropriate to warn them as they had young children with them , however our tour guide said we shouldn’t have warn them, someone will catch it. He said he thought it wasn’t appropriate to tell people there’s a snake in the tunnel. This certainly didn’t make us feel like he was able to provide the proper safety precautions for a tour.
The lunch provided was also disgusting and disappointing. We had been served Pho with bagged Lays potato chips.
Putting these issues aside, these tours of this area is well worth supporting and visiting to keep these memories alive as the government has tried to close these down before.
