Sibenik - Šibenik, a historic Croatian city, was first documented in the mid-11th century in a record by King Petar Krešimir IV. The cityscape is dominated by its four fortresses: St Nicholas, St Michael, St John, and Barone. Among its 24 churches and six monasteries, the Cathedral of St James stands out as a unique monument of European sacral culture, entirely built of stone without any other materials. This cathedral, the work of Juraj Dalmatinac and Nikola Firentinac, is also under UNESCO World Heritage protection.

Prokljansko Jezero - Gavan’s Court is a notable site on Lake Prokljan, where historical remains such as walls, marble fragments, decorated stones, Roman bricks, lead pipes, and jewelry have been discovered. According to local legend, a wealthy and arrogant woman, a “gavanuša,” rudely dismissed an angel disguised as a beggar three times. In response, the angel flooded her court, creating Lake Prokljan. Skradinski Buk Waterfall - After visiting Šibenik, we continue down the Krka estuary to Prokljan Lake and through the canyon to the base of Skradinski Buk, arriving at Krka National Park around 11:30 am. Here, you can take a break for swimming and touring the park, which includes visiting watermills, Skradinski Buk, the Jaruga hydroelectric power plant, restaurants, a souvenir shop, and relaxation areas. With its seven travertine waterfalls, the park is a natural wonder. Krka National Park covers the most beautiful sections of the Krka River and the lower flow of the Čikola River, rich in natural, cultural, and historical landmarks. Noteworthy is the Franciscan monastery on Visovac Island, situated on the river. The old watermills, now small ethnographic museums, offer insight into traditional wheat milling. The park’s main attractions are its seven waterfalls, with Roški slap being the most expansive and Skradinski buk the largest and most famous.
