Setting Sail on the Adriatic

As a marine biologist, my life is often intertwined with the ocean’s rhythms, but nothing prepared me for the serene beauty of kayaking in Vodice. The moment I dipped my paddle into the Adriatic Sea, I felt a connection to the water that was both exhilarating and calming. The gentle lapping of the waves against the kayak was a soothing soundtrack as we set off from Ul. Blata 44, a quaint starting point that promised adventure.

Our guide, Ivan, was a wealth of knowledge, sharing stories of the Dalmatian coast that brought the landscape to life. His passion for the sea was infectious, and as we paddled towards the small island of Tribunj, I found myself captivated by the stone houses that seemed to rise organically from the water.
