Today, no beach! - If today you don't feel like doing the usual beach life and want something different, well, Santorini Wine Museum is the perfect alternative. An exhibition itinerary that tells the story of the two Koutsoyannopoulos brothers, the first to start the cultivation of vines in Santorini and to produce wine there, with all the difficulties of the case: from the unsuitable lava soil to the crops, up to the strong wind that breaks through and destroys the plants. The museum is full of vintage objects, historical reconstructions with self-propelled automata, large explanatory plates in English: audio guides are also available. At the end, there is an "experience". The tasting of some local wines produced by the descendants of the Koutsoyannopoulos brothers, with presentation and explanation provided by a sommelier and accompaniment of canapés. About two hours is the average length of the visit, really interesting and also fun, with the chance to learn something new (for example, the particular technique used on the island to remove the vine plants from the harsh winds) and to drink two or three glasses of good wine!

Sweet little visit - Visited this wine museum as something to do for a short period one afternoon. We took the bronze package which was about €21pp. The museum was sweet and gave you the history of wine making on the island. The wine tasting was very informative and this whole experience wasn't a pressured thing to buy or tip.

Must try experience! - Wine museum was great and informative! Their dessert wine is tally unique and you'll not get it out of the wine museum. Be sure to grab your bottles before you leave. I'll give a 5/5 for the wine museum alone, the rating was brought down by the terrible service of the driver. Our driver Spyros was late. His driving was rather reckless. He wasn't friendly like the other tour guide/driver we had on the island, maybe he's just a freelancer. Worse, he mixed up the hours and rushed us to leave the wine museum early. Not even a word of apology after I showed him the booking detail.

Quaint - It was a quaint museum with very friendly people. It was a bit old and tired , but interesting. Of course we were there in a very hot day and couldn’t enjoy the outdoors area.

Winery fab, transport not great - Museum was good and so was the wine tasting. But the experience from the company that took us there and back was not the best. We had no idea when we were being collected and had to contact them ourselves. It dampened the experience.

NO STARS!!! - Can not rate this experience because our driver did not show up until 15 min after our tour was suposed to start and it was a half hour drive to the place. So I had to cancel it then had to fight to get my money back. Viator said they needed to talk with the driver first!. They tried contacting him several times the day of the tour as did I but no response from the driver until he showed up late telling me he was at my hotel were was I at! Seriously??? We were on out last day in Santorini so very disappointed!
