Hop on hop off tours are our favorite way to see a new city. - We arrived into Athens from a cruise ship. It was hard to find a taxi. We were able to get onto the hop on hop off bus with our luggage and ride it close to our hotel. We had pre-paid for the hop on hop off so we saved money.

Yes! - The photo stops along the way were ok, nothing to brag about. The Cape and Temple are a must-see. It's a great way to see the Cape from Athens.

A trip that should go on your scheduled time in Athens - Recommend this tour. Easy meeting spot in Omonia Square. Thanos was our guide and he did an excellent job. Friendly, knowledgeable and communicated details well before the start. Great value for the experience. The sunset view was gorgeous to witness and the Temple of Posideon should not be missed. The view of the ocean from the height of the temple grounds was something special to witness. One thing to plan - eat before your take the trip. The restaurant at the site has a good drink menu but the quality of the food is poor.

Cape Sounion Challenges - The stop was lovely. Be aware, it costs 20 Euros each to get into the site where you can actually see the sunset. The bus driver blared rock station music over the loudspeakers the entire time we were on the bus. He only turned it down when passengers asked him to, but did not turn it off. This interfered with trying to listen to the Vox. There was only one Vox for every 2 people so we had to share them. Between the loud music and only having one earpiece neither I nor my husband could hear the narration. On the way back, there was a bomb scare (it was an actual real bomb) so streets were closing everywhere. The bus driver had to let us off at the first stop (we got on at the third). To his credit and I do mean credit - our tour guide, Vasilis Thanos, got us safely back to the subway station near our hotel. He was wonderful and went out of his way to do so. He also did as good of a job as possible with the lack of Vox boxes and the blaring music from the driver.

Long wait times for buses - We had to wait more than 45 minutes to board a bus at Athens Cruise Terminal B to go to the Acropolis. There was evidently a motorway traffic accident which held up the buses. Information the map we were given was confusing, with some listed times to return to the port in the afternoon and saying that these buses leave every half hour. We thought we'd go back a bit early to ensure that we were back in time. Arriving back at the bus stop, we had to join a cue of over 100 people to get a bus back to the port. Again, we had to wait for a long time to board a bus. There were a few cruise ships in the port & assuming that all of these people had caught a coach into the city, the company seemed unprepared to have enough buses to transport these people back. So, a disappointing first time for us using the blue buses. I'll be trying a different company in the next port

Don’t use the blue bus - Went to blue hop on hop off bus waiting at cruise terminal. We were told by sales person , at the bus that this was better than the red bus and we would be leaving soon. We got on, then saw the red bus arrive, load up and it left quickly. We had to sit on the blue bus for 45 minutes until it was completely full then we finally set off. I wished the sales Lady had been more honest with us.
