Snake Gorge:
Snake gorge can be reached via Wadi Bani Awf. It is a large wadi in wilayat Al Rustaq in the South Batinah Governorate of Oman. The wadi covers a large area with several villages and lots of cool attractions that will see while we are commuting there. It is a stunning off-road driving experience with beautiful scenery and stunning cliffs and canyons throughout. The route connects several villages, including the scenic Balad Sayat village, and extends across the Hajar Mountains portion separating Al Batinah from Al Dakhiliyah region.
The canyon got two access. The right fork route will require trekking, abseiling with ropes, swimming and jumping in pools. There will be 3 points where will require to abseil by ropes. The height will vary from 5 meters to 15 meters. Several pool jumps will be required.
The path requires between 4-6 hours depending on the speed of the group.
Wadi Mibam:
This wadi can be reached from coastal highway to Sur in Al Sharqiyah region, adjacent to Wadi Shab but unique in its own way with numerous farms and plantations and a stunning pool deep inside towards Mibam village. At the village will walk through the houses. From this point, it is a 2-3 hour traverse through mostly large boulder stones, with one or two tricky spots, before reaching the stunning pool at the wadi bend flanked by palm trees and overgrowth onto the wadi cliffs. Will need to swim for 80-100m distance in this pool to reach the ‘Mibam waterfall’ at the bottom of Mibam village
Wadi Hail (Connecting to wadi Al Arbyeen)
It is on the west coast of Oman between Quriyat and Sur. The wadi goes back and forth from the village of Al Suwaih. It is actually a secondary wadi that flows to the village level in the long and winding Wadi Al Arbeyeen. This canyon does not require abseiling by rope. It is very beautiful, wild and aquatic with many waterfalls or pools of pristine water. The route may take around 2 hours to the pool and same to return. At certain point before the pool will need to use a rope to climb a rock. A stunning water fall at the end of the track. The route require a lot of swimming
