Wonderful - Call them if you need help/clarification. Lovely on the phone and very helpful. I sent a message via Viator and got a generic response after my booking. Edward was the driver-he was fantastic. Consider downloading the app before going but it honestly doesn’t matter if you don’t-they provide headsets and are wonderful. Everyone was kind and welcoming. My booking was changed because of low numbers, when they called they said they were able to pick me up from my accomodation which I didn’t think was an option (stayed at a hostel). Super lovely.

Must see in New Orleans - The place is a sanctuary to remember the terrible process of slavery on Louisiana plantations. Highly recommended, only lacks more signage, to travel freely through the space.

Highly recommend - The actual tour of the Whitney was excellent. It's from an enslaved person's perspective and I highly recommend. The drive was long. Be aware that there are multiple pick up locations with this tour and not everyone is going to Whitney so that drop off makes it longer. The bus was very comfortable. Bring water. The guide and driver was very kind and knowledgeable. The company gave us a courtesy call to remind us of pick up which was very nice.

Historical and Spiritual experiences - This tour was amazing. It felt heavy on my heart seeing the horrors of the enslaved person experience in real life and walking where they walked but I left with renewed purpose and spiritual connection. I felt the experience and exhibits were respectful and highly informative with a significant focus on the enslaved persons lived experiences, contributions, and resilience . My tour bus driver and guide were fantastic, so informative and courteous. We saw other plantations on the ride in/out and got some amazing Louisiana historical and geographical insights. This is a must do tour.

Transport not great - Whitney itself was amazing, informative and educational. The tour there; for some reason I was the only person not picked up at their accommodation and instead outside a Walgreen where there were numerous homeless and I witnessed a robbery and subsequent fight! Not a great start to the day. The bus was old with lots of black tape over the seats and the audio was poor which meant hearing the driver was hard, however our driver Edward was very good.
