Whitney Plantation Life - Jay was a courteous driver. I appreciate the care he took along the way to talk with the tour group about a variety of different things. He was punctual. Although I did the self guided tour on this trip, it was perfect because I could move at my own pace. My only recommendation is you bring headphones to plug into the tour device so you can be hands free & move more comfortably around the plantation. It was beautiful, informative & interesting. I appreciate hearing accounts from the slaves at the time about their lives as a slave. Touching & hard to swallow the hatred that slavery was like for individuals inflicted with such cruelty. A reminder that we can never go back to those times. Yet may we never forget. Thank you for an excellent tour.

Do the Oak plantation - Bus driver was great. I wish we’d booked the Oak plantation just few miles between them and some on our tour were dropped there. The Whitney was a disappointment, we were looking for an amazing main house and more original buildings, a lot here seem to have been copies or made after slavery ended.

We didn't know that it... - We didn't know that it was a self-guided tour. Also, a brochure outlining some of the artifacts would be useful for self guided tours especially since some of the items were post slavery.
