Shore Excursion with a real WOW factor! - We had a fantastic day with Kobus in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. We were well suited to one another as our interests were in nature and photography. There's not much else in that area and we were delighted with the coffee and lunch breaks. Anyone can go to a restraunt (except in the area we were!) but we enjoyed nature while eating. A most enjoyable day with lasting memories. While the majority of the ship folks stayed relatively close to the ship, we went about 350 km (round trip) and saw so much more of Namibia.

A good tour at the end of a chaotic arrival in Walvis Bay - Our ship was very late arriving, but Michael kept in touch the whole time, & the tour vans & guides were ready to whisk us away into the desert. The guides were very knowledgeable, & passionate, about the nature to be found in the national park, & were only too willing to share this knowledge, or answer questions about their homeland. We had lunch in the shade of a tree, (one of the few shady trees to be found in the desert)consisting of local meats, with local beer & a delicious sparkling wine. We were lucky enough to sight giraffe ostrich, jackal, butterfly in the desert, and also had time to see flamingos at the beginning of the tour. The guides managed to fit a lot into the limited time we had available, between our late arrival, & the constraints of our departure. The vehicles were air conditioned, and very comfortable to travel in. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company, and this tour

Book MC Tours if you want a fantastic tour experience - From the moment I first contacted MC Tours, I was confident that we had chosen a fantastic tour company. The communication from Chantel was always prompt, helpful and accommodating. On the day of the tour Michael and his crew met us at our ship and then we began what turned into a fantastic days of adventure and sights. The trip through and over the huge sand dunes was so much fun! Book a tour with Michael and Chantel, you won’t be disappointed!

An Amazing Walvis Bay Adventure - I chose to book a private tour as I was only visiting Walvis Bay for the day on a cruise, so wanted to see as much as possible of the area, in the time available. Michael arranged an amazing itinerary including the Walvis Bay Lagoon, Moonlandscape and Swakopmund. Kobus Bekker was the perfect guide, especially for birding. His unlimited knowledge of the wildlife and the area made me not just see a snapshot of Nambia, but feel the experience too! I could not recommend MC Tours more highly, I now have memories I shall treasure for ever

Great time touring the Namib Desert. - This was probably one of the best tours we have ever had. Our guide Cobus gave us a clear itinerary for this full day trip into the Namib Desert and and then adjusted it to fit our particular interests. It was an excellent introduction to landscape, flora and faunaof the world's oldest desert. As a private excursion we were able to quickly get out on the road and stay ahead of the cruise ship's tour busses. At every stop we saw something new and interesting. The air conditioned vehicle was clean and comfortable. We also had a delicious picnic lunch.

Terrific Dunes & Sandwich Harbour tour from Walvis Bay - We (4 adults including 3 photographers) had planned 2 days touring with Sandwich Harbour Offroad, a day in the Namib Desert & a trip to Sandwich Harbour. Unfortunately, weather delayed our cruise ship by a day, so we only had less than 1 full day to explore around Walvis Bay/Swakopmund. Michael Green was wonderfully accommodating to customize our itinerary & our driver/guide, Leon, was a treasure! They created a custom combo so we were able to drive to Sandwich Harbour & cruise the dunes overlooking the Atlantic in the morning, then get a brief sample of the Namib Desert & Swakopmund in the afternoon. On top of a dune we were treated to a variety of homemade local foods plus sparkling wine & beer-all tasty & beautifully served on white linen! We were thrilled to see flamingoes, seals, jackals, ostrich & a snake eagle. I highly recommend Sandwich Harbour Offroad - Thanks Michael & Leon!

Fantastic Tour to the Namib Desert, with Teasers to Other Highlights around Walvis Bay - We arrived in Walvis Bay via cruise ship. Admittedly, I was so busy beforehand, I did not bother preparing the trip very extensively, so we didn't know what to expect. We were in for a huge surprise! We have booked the "Namib Desert and wildlife photography tour", so as pre-arranged, our tour guide Michael picked us up at the cruise terminal. On our way to the Namib Desert, we made a brief stop at "Dune 7", which is one of the highest sand dunes in the world (Michael told us, that it lost its place as highest sand dune in Namibia to "Big Daddy", but since I climbed the former, I'll pretend otherwise). We then made our way to the Namib-Naukluft National Park where we spent several hours. Game watching is just fantastic there: We found ostriches, springboks, zebras, vultures and so many others. For lunch we were served sparkling wine as well as a variety of yummy snacks Michaels wife prepared (if you have any dietary restrictions, make sure to let them know beforehand, as they can accomodate to any needs). On our way back, we made a detour via Swakopsmund, the Walvis Bay saltpans where we got a taste of some 4x4 action, and the Walvis Bay lagoon with its beautiful flamingos. Unfortunately, we had already booked a catamaran tour the next day (which was also an unforgettable experience), so we could not do the Sandwhich Harbour tour, which Michael also offers. After 9 hours an absolutely amazing tour, which went beyond all of our expectations, ended.
