The trip begins with a brief halt at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire flamingos and observe the salt works. Next, the tour continues to the Kuiseb river delta, a barren riverbed where you might spot the occasional springbok. To reach Sandwich Harbour, you’ll navigate through magnificent sand dunes. Weather and tidal conditions permitting, the drive may extend all the way to the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, a biodiverse and distinctive wetland in Southern Africa. Should the tides prevent beachside driving, you’ll still enjoy panoramic views of the lagoon from several stunning vantage points, with opportunities to stroll and discover the Sandwich Harbour Area. Ample time is provided for photography. Anticipate a delightful picnic lunch accompanied by chilled drinks amidst the awe-inspiring landscape, followed by an exhilarating return trip across the dunes.

Visit that became an experience - A highly recommended tour. Our Guide who was called Marius has a lot of experience and drives great. We always feel maximum security. He explained a lot of things about the country, the dunes, the fauna... you can see that he is passionate about what he does and knows how to transmit it. He showed us the colors of sand, metals, dunes flowing into the sea... he drove for fun like a roller coaster. In the end he offered us a picnic that was very delicious, chocolates, beer... We had a great time and learned a lot. We will always thank you for the amazing afternoon you put us through.

Popping champagne between dunes and the ocean - Great tour and shout out to our awesome guide Gerhard! He was super friendly and made the tour that much more enjoyable. The tour was a mix of great views, animals, good picnic lunch, and of course the iconic views of the dunes and ocean. A must do in the area.

A perfect tour - We had such a great time on this half-day tour of Sandwich Harbour and the sand dunes. The flamingos were amazing! Our guide, Gabby, was so friendly and knowledgeable. She definitely knew how to drive the dunes! The tour also included a snack, but it was more like a full lunch. So delicious! A perfect day in Walvis Bay!

Highly recommended - Highly recommended. The tour guide is very professional and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun seeing the sand dunes, the beach, the flamingos and the wild animals.

Very informative tour with Marius - Marius was very knowledgeable and informative. We had many questions about the culture and history of Namibia, and he was a great person to talk to.
Although the weather was foggy, he made sure to show us great views from various viewpoints. We enjoyed a little picnic with sparkling wine that he had prepared for us. Sandwich Harbor, where the sand dunes meet the ocean, is a spectacular place that will remain as a very precious memory for us.
Towards to the end, he drove up and down the dunes just for the fun of a rollercoaster ride, which was really, really FUN!
He mentioned that he offers customized tours around Namibia (and neighboring countries) too, as many clients prefer to travel on their own without guides. However, his company takes care of route planning, accommodations, permits, and guides (where there is no public access without a licensed operator). We wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely country. I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Namibia! ;)

THE tour company for Sandwich harbor tour - I had the Sandwich harbor tour. I had limited time and asked for the tour for 3 hours and it was way beyond expectations. Why 5 stars?
1. Marius and Chantal complemented with knowledge and fun stories. They know how to make the experience memorable. Most friendly and personable guides one can have.
2. They took me to the most picturesque spots in the dunes-many of them. It definitely helps that Marius takes good pictures as well in addition to being a great dune driver.
3. Although I expected to see only the dunes, Marius added so much more- birds, salt making, sand composition, young dune formation, geological facts etc. Chantal added many facts and provided a lot of information about great spots in Namibia and other African countries.
They are very professional tour organizers experienced in providing tours to solo and large groups.
I can’t think of how any other tour company can beat Wild Space Adventures.

WILD SPACE ADVENTURE SAFARIS is amazing! - We had 3 vehicles for our group. Pickup from the port was easy. Pre-excursion correspondence was great. Guides were very knowledgeable and we all had a fantastic and fun-filled day! I would highly recommend this top-notch tourism company for their professional and fun driving on the dunes and will use them to make arrangements for an air flight the next time we visit Namibia.

Spectacular Day - Very Beautiful and breathtaking sights, fun ride, knowledgeable guise- a great experience. Marius was our guide, all aspects well coordinated even though our ship arrived a day late. You will be happy if you book this tour.

Breathtaking and memorable trip with Marius as our guide! - The trip to Sandwich Harbor and dunes was breathtaking, and it was made even better with Marius as our guide. He was knowledgable, friendly, entertaining and patient. He answered all of our questions, taught us things about the dunes and Namibia, and went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience possible. He even prepared a delicious lunch with champagne for us in the middle of the dunes. His knowledge of the dunes was incredible and I don’t think we personally could have had the same experience with any other guide. Thank you Marius!
