Amazing Sandwich Bay - Its an AMAZING experiance, the natural beauty of the area is stunning and breathtaking. The place that the tour starts was right by the cruise port and a quick walk. The drivers stay in a group of two and are very safe, and are great drivers. the lunch we had was very good, and a lot of variety of food, which was fantastic with the champagne! Do not miss it.

Amazing experience - Amazing experience with our guide Johan van Jaarsveld. He is really knowledgeable about area, showing us the flamingos, salt field, red sand, sea lions, cormorant, wildlife and etc. He’s a great driver and made the drive really enjoyable. Going up and down the dunes was really fun. The picnic lunch in the dune was fantastic, with oyster and drink included. Highly recommended!

It could only get better - Unfortunately I was waiting nearly 1h30 for my pick-up at the Beach Hotel in Swakopmund; seems like someone didn't pitch. They kept saying he was coming in 20 minutes; disconcerting. They gave me a slight discount. Well, thanks to expert driver and guide, Jay R, and company, it ended up being a lot of fun. We had a cool, sunny day with a breeze. I didn't know we were going to be 3 hours driving in the dunes and as I'm fearful of heights, I had to endure my fate. Jay said he thought I would enjoy it. It ended up being therapeutic; I felt that I had overcome some of my fear. I was quite pleased that I climbed some dunes, with a helping hand- well, you only fall on soft sand. It is such a serene, stunning landscape. The oysters and snacks were excellent; guides and friends helped with pics. We all had a great ride and a good laugh. Saw pelicans and buck en route. Look forward to my next trip :) I just worry about the impact of the 4x4s on small desert creatures...I also think that prices of some tours may be fine for those from Europe etc but are quite pricey for South Africans and surrounding countries.
