Well worth doing this tour, fantastic day - Fantastic day with guide Tookta. The railway market was really busy and lots of food and clothing. The floating market was the highlight for us, going down the river in the boat was so much fun. Could have kept cruising the river for hours. All the locals are so nice. Lunch at the floating market was delicious and very cheap. Definitely recommend this tour.

Such a fun experience of... - Such a fun experience of being on the train which runs through the market and later on a boat for the floating market. Kwan, our tour guide, was amazing. She knew all the tricks to ensure we got the best seats for the train. The train was about 1 hour long- but delightful. Floating market is about half an hour long- both sites were crowded but to be expected since its high season plus a tourist attraction. Worth a visit for sure, especially if Kwan is the tour guide.

Fulfilling Experience! - The Half-Day Railway Market and Floating Market Tour in Thailand was an amazing experience! We arrived at the Mae Klong Railway Market just on time to take videos of Train leaving the station. We also took a long boat ride at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, be able to take good videos of the market. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing tips and tricks of seeing better views and taking better pictures. I believe we made the fullest for these 2 spots. The tour took about 6 hours, we got back around 3pm.

Perfect affordable quick trip for a family! - I would give this tour a 4.5. When I booked the tour the descriptions said it was "small group with no more than 14 people" but we had about 22 people on the tour. However, they split us into three separate vans so it felt a little smaller. There were "technically" seatbelts in the van but don't expect them to be accessible or to work. The drivers drive like bats out of hell so we arrived very quickly. There is a Starbucks right next to the meeting place if you want to grab a drink before you leave. Riding the train was pretty cool. It was standing room only by the time we got on. Once you arrive at the train market, there is no time to shop because you only have 30 minutes to walk all the way back to the beginning to meet the group at a coffee shopand you really have to move quickly because of the congestion of people. They were times we could barely move at all and we were worried we wouldn't make it back in time. After that, you get back into the van and are driven to the floating market. Yes, this is all tourist but you should know that ahead of time so please ignore all the complaints and other reviews about it being touristy. Obviously, locals do not come to this market unless they are there to sell things. We had about 45 minutes to walk around the market. I highly recommend grabbing some food. It is cheap and delicious! Then we took a paddle boat for about a 40 minute ride around the market. We were shocked at how rude some of the other boat drivers were to one another. The boats ram into each other so keep your fingers inside the boat! It seemed like it was mostly the men driving the motor boats who were quite rude and disrespectful of their colleagues. But our boat driver was quite lovely and it was nice to be on a boat with no motor because there was no exhaust and no loud noise. Please tip your boat driver! After that, you load into the van and head back to the city. I think we were back by 3 PM. Over all, I would recommend this for families who don't want to spend 12 hours doing a tour. We took a three-year-old and a teenager and it was perfect! Our guide, Tutka, was informative and very nice. She warned us about the people who would put a snake around our neck and then try to charge us. Avoid the snake! Lastly, the area where you get dropped off is next to a mall. Do yourself a favor and head inside and eat at the food stands!! It is all local food, delicious, and very cheap! You will see almost no tourist in this mall!

Happy customer - I appreciated the on time pick up from my hotel. The staff (guide and driver) were both be very courteous. It would have been nice to get an extra 15-20 minutes at each stop, but overall a great trip for the price.

Not worth it - The “tour” basically just meant guaranteed transportation to and from the different places. There was no information from the guide at any time regarding the places we were visiting. We were only on the train market for around 20 minutes which consisted of just quickly getting from one end of the tracks to the other. Overall the tour was very rushed and there was little free time. Furthermore, the English from the tour guide was very limited and extremely difficult to understand…. Not worth the price …
