Additional Information

On this consummate pedestrian journey from the Flower Market to Chinatown, we aim to delve into the multiplicity of Bangkok and Thai culture via an assortment of neighborhood markets and local munchies. Our path takes us through seven distinct market zones, providing a doorway to understanding local traditions.

As we progress, you’ll sample a variety of snacks. The focus here is on variety rather than volume, meaning we’ll be offering bite-sized portions of numerous delights rather than a few larger meals. Rest assured, though - by the conclusion of the tour, you should be pleasantly satiated.

Location
Yodpiman Flower Market
Soi San Chao Ban Mo
The Market Experience is hidden away on the 2nd floor (mezzanine floor) of the main Yodpiman Flower Market building. This is the building between the main road and Yodpiman River Walk (the newer restaurant / shopping area by the river) and they will be selling a lot of flowers used for offerings (marigolds, orchids, jasmine… ) The easiest way to get to us is to take the river ferry and get off at Pak Klong Talad pier (pier N6/1). You can get the blue flag tourist ferry (40THB – first boat is 9am) or the local orange flag ferry (15THB). If you are staying near a skytrain station you can get the Skytrain to Saphan Taksin and then the ferry. When you get off the ferry you will be in Yodpiman River Walk and need to walk into the main flower market. We do have some signs up so do look for signs for The Market Experience but we also suggest you follow the map below. If you take a taxi or need to ask someone for assistance you can also show this instructions in Thai. ปากคลองตลาด จอดหน้าธนาคารธนชาติ

P is the best! - This is a must do tour when visiting Bangkok. P is an incredibly knowledgable and fun guide. We had so many snacks we never would have tried without a local guiding us, and when the other group on our tour didn't show, we got a private experience by accident! A truly wonderful day, would recommend this tour to everyone. Only warning is it is quite a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes.
