A Great Combination of Different Elements - Overall, we were very satisfied with this small group tour to Kanchanaburi, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in the region’s essence - its history, stunning natural landscapes, local cuisine - all in a single day. After a comfortable two-and-a-half-hour drive from Bangkok in an air-conditioned van, we arrived at the JEATH Museum. This small yet informative museum offers insights into the POW camp and the many Thai people who were essentially forced to work by Imperial Japan during World War II. Given our fragmented history education, we appreciated learning about this darker chapter. Our guide, Boy, was knowledgeable about the history behind the construction of the bridge, and his narration complemented the museum’s exhibits well. Next, some members of our tour group hired a long-tail boat to travel the river to the bridge (the fare was extra). The boat ride was short but allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery from the river and capture photos of a train passing over the bridge. While the bridge itself was a bit touristy, the views from it were still worthwhile. After leaving the bridge, we spent another hour in the van and arrived at Erawan National Park. There, we first had lunch at a restaurant near the parking lot. Instead of individually choosing a restaurant, our group went to the same one, which served local cuisine. After lunch, we proceeded to the park entrance. We had roughly two hours to explore the park. My partner and I hiked up to Level 7. The hike wasn’t too difficult, but there were some slippery spots (so be careful!). The water was emerald green, and the waterfalls were absolutely photogenic. We enjoyed hiking and taking photos of the scenery. As others have pointed out, two hours may not be enough to enjoy both hiking and swimming. We had only limited time for swimming, so you may want to consider which activity you’d prefer beforehand or pick another tour tailored to your liking. In essence, this tour provides a good overview of the Kanchanaburi region. We would like to return to explore more of the area!

Highly recommend one day tour from Bangkok - The trip is highly recommended to those who wish to travel to death railway , museum and Erawan national park within one day from Bangkok. Our tour guide was Mr. Pinyo. He was kind , warm and patient with us. Hospitality and comfort of the van were nice. Here is just a suggestion. It would have been better , if lunch was also included in the package just to save the time since every minute is important since it is a long ride (3.5 hours one way ). Overall it was a good experience.

Well-organized - The guide was extremely kind and explained the whole tour clearly to us. He even gave us extra time at the waterfalls which we really enjoyed. The speedboat on the river kwai was a nice addition to the tour and the guide timed everything well so that we even saw the train crossing the bridge on the river kwai. Very well done and definitely the cost worth

Interesting - Nice and good guide who gave good information about the trip and what we could expect. Told the story from World War II and what happened at the construction of the bridge over the river Kwai. Very nice guide

Beautiful Nature & History - The waterfalls are sooo beautiful. But I enjoyed the whole trip. It was a nice balance between history amd nature. Our guide Jackie took good care of us, he was relaxed and calm and offered many helpful tidbits. He was friendly and willing to answer any additional questions we had. It's a long day trip but totally worth it because of the waterfalls and also if you don't want to worry about transportation and getting to the different places by yourself. The group size of 9 people was just nice too.

Erawan Falls tour - The waterfalls were amazing. Very beautiful. Our tour guide was less that stellar. His English level was very poor and he was very rude when others in the group didn’t understand his directions and asked for clarification.

Highly recommend this excursion if in Bangkok - This was a wonderful trip! I highly recommend it. Our guide Michael was great too, he was so kind and fun! The reason I took off one star was because none of us could understand anything he was saying. He tried to talk about the history and gave us all kinds of great information about things we saw, but no one on the trip could understand him. I really feel like these tours need to employ people that are easier to understand. It’s no fault of Michael’s, of course.

Do not book with Trip Guru. - Let me start by saying that once the trip got started, our guide Tang, helped us to have a great day. The park was as advertised, and the bridge and museum were good as well. In fact it happened to be 80th anniversary of the day US destroyed the bridge, so there was a big festival going on. The problem lies all with the tour operator, Trip Guru. I got emails from 2 tour guides on the evening prior to departure. I called to inquire which one was correct. I was assured by barely English speaking rep that it would be corrected. After getting off the phone, I received email that my trip had been cancelled! I called back immediately and was told trip could not be rescheduled because there were no openings. They rescheduled me for the following day. The next morning, two guides showed up as I was on my out for other activities. Trip Guru could not be reached, even by their guides. Viator eventually was able to resolve the issue, but we ended up leaving 1.5 hours late. Avoid all Trip Guru activities.

Two hours is not enough at Erawan Waterfalls - Good tour guide and driver. It would be perfect if the tour was arranged to spend time directly at Erawan Waterfalls..................................................................................................
