• Longshan Temple - At the scheduled time, the group will meet the guide at Exit 1 (outside) of the MRT Longshan Temple subway station. The first stop is Longshan Temple, one of the city’s oldest and most iconic temples, showcasing Taiwanese spiritual life with its beautiful Buddhist and Taoist decor.
• Taipei North Gate (ChengEn Gate) - Following the temple visit, the group will take a short MRT ride to Taipei’s North Gate. Beimen is a historic landmark constructed in 1884 during the Qing Dynasty. It is the only remaining gate from Taipei’s original city walls that has preserved its authentic appearance.
• Dihua Street - From Beimen North Gate, the group will walk to the entrance of the historic Dadaocheng, one of Taipei’s oldest neighborhoods.
• Yongle Textile Market - This fabric market is Taipei’s premier textile hub, offering a diverse selection of fabrics—from traditional prints to contemporary designs. Situated in a historic building, it also includes tailor shops and a lively wet market on the ground floor.
• Taipei Xiahai City God Temple - Dadaocheng is also home to one of the city’s most popular temples, the City God Temple. The temple’s history is closely linked to Dadaocheng’s history, as it was established shortly after the first settlers arrived on Dihua Street. Locals frequently visit this temple to pray for finding their special someone.
• Sin Hong Choon - (OPTIONAL, subject to availability) This historic tea shop was founded in 1934 in Dadaocheng. It is a beautifully restored three-story building that once functioned as a tea shop, factory, warehouse, and residence.
• 有記名茶 WANGTEA - If Sin Hong Choon is unavailable on the tour day, the group can visit the charming Wang Tea instead. Operated by the Wang family, who relocated to Taiwan from China in 1890, their shop served as a base for exporting tea to Southeast Asia. Visitors will have the chance to explore Wang’s tea factory and learn about traditional tea production and storage methods. The store’s staff and friendly guides will introduce the basic types of tea (oolong, black, green, tieguanyin, etc.) and demonstrate a Taiwanese tea ceremony.
• Dadaocheng Wharf - Dadaocheng Wharf, also known as Pier 9, is a picturesque riverside spot in Taipei’s historic Dadaocheng district. Once a bustling trade port, it now offers stunning sunset views over the Tamsui River, vibrant food stalls, and a relaxed ambiance.
