This shared tour is conducted in a small group of no more than 8 participants and features round-trip transportation from your accommodation in Taipei City….
Embark on a full-day excursion to explore the stunning attractions of the Northeast Coast, including Yehliu Geopark, Golden Waterfall, Jiufen Old Street, Shifen Waterfall, and Shifen Old Street. This shared tour is conducted in a small group of no more than 8 participants and features round-trip transportation from your accommodation in Taipei City. Please note that a guided tour is not included. The type of vehicle provided will depend on the number of participants on the day. For groups of up to 4 people, a 5-seater vehicle will be used, while groups of 5 to 8 people will travel in a 9-seater vehicle. Specific vehicle requests cannot be accommodated.
- English or Mandarin-speaking driver is available. Please select your preferred language at checkout.
- This is a shared tour, not a private one. A maximum of 8 people per tour.
- The practical itinerary and time spent at each spot may be subject to change due to the traffic condition when this tour is on a holiday.
- This tour includes a driver who speaks Mandarin and English, but does not include a guided tour.
- The vehicle type assigned for this tour will be arranged based on the number of participants on the day. For groups of 4 people or fewer, a 5-seater vehicle will be arranged. For groups of 5-8 people , a 9-seater vehicle will be arranged. Specific vehicle types cannot be requested.

Our guide Josef is a very... - Our guide Josef is a very start man, very friendly and helpfull with very good english and knowledge about whole Taiwan. He showed us even extra sÃtÄ›. I enjoyed much.

Great first time experience to Taipei with Viator small group Jiufen, Yehliu Geopark and Shifen from Taipei - I have a great travel experience especially from the service provided by tour guide James on Feb 19, 2025.. James is nice and responsible person.He took excellent care of me and two accompanies from Seattle. He gave us much information and convenience flexibility. Although the weather is rainy and windy, I still have a great experience from him. Eg saving time on queue,
Helping pickup photos, and arranged a private seafood lunch and etc. Comparing to other excursions, I will recommend my friends to travel with James. Next time I will join again. Thanks Cartesian

10 hr tour and best bang for your dollar - What a deal! $113 CDN for the wife and I. Mind you it was a Mandarin speaking driver and I don’t speak Mandarin. Wife speaks very little. Communication worked out well with the help of Google Translate. It was supposed to be a group tour of up to 8, but only 2 others booked and they cancelled the morning of because one was sick. So we basically got a private tour. English driver would have been twice as much.
Hit all the hotspots for photos, culture and food in Taiwan in 10 hours. Good safe, patient and pleasant driver. Every location was amazing! This was a 18 day vacation and this was our last day of the vacation, wicked turned out to be the best day of our vacation.
Driver showed 15 minutes early to pick us up, We were 1 hr early waiting, but always happy to see any kind of service show up early.

Outstanding tour of Northern Taiwan - Excellent well-paced itinerary. Knowledgable, careful and helpful driver. Comfortable car. We shared the tour with a couple from Singapore, who fortunately spoke Chinese and English, which helped a lot, since our driver spoke very little English. Well worth the cost.

Great full day out! - Martin more than delivered. We met at 830 and we were out until after 7 when he returned us to our hotel. Small group. Just 4 of us so very personalized. He didn’t rush us , and took us to a number of out of the way spots to eat . The places are beautiful ( go on a clear day) .. full value.

Magical Day, Thoughtfully Curated - We had a lovely day with Martin — who was truly one of the most thoughtful guides, ever. From stopping to grab us dumplings on the way to the Geopark, to providing walking sticks to help us around the Falls’ more slippery areas, even to procuring a special lunch for the vegetarian in our group, or making sure we tried Taipei specialties throughout the day.
Martin is also extremely knowledgeable about Taipei’s history and geography. We highly recommend.

Nice tour around Taipei - Driver and tour guide was enthusiastic and explained interesting facts about the site and Taiwanese culture. I wish however there was more time at Yehliu Geo Park to visit Zone 3 and less time at the Jiufen market place.

Great experience with minor mishap - We had a great tour with Alex our tour guide ! This was a full day tour leaving at 8:30am and arriving home at 6:30pm.
Two things to note:
- we had initially been told we were the only ones who booked but another couple booked late at night so were added to our tour. We didn’t know this until the morning. Not an issue but they picked us up in a small Toyota Camry and I had to sit in between my partner and someone else in the middle for the entire day. It was not the most comfortable mode of transportation especially given we were in the car for hour long stretches between some sites due to traffic. Not the fault of our tour guide but this could have been better scheduled with a bigger van or at least an XL car for the five of us (tour guide included). We were refunded $20 USD for this.
- at first our tour guide only dropped us off at the Geologic park so we were afraid that one of the reviews here were true (I.e. we paid $180 total for us both but it wasn’t a tour and more a driver dropping us off between sites). However after the first stop, our tour guide did park the car and come along at the other stops telling us interesting information about each stop. We really liked our four guide Alex - he was very nice and knowledgeable!!
All in- I would book this tour again but make sure that you’re okay either being in a small and someone having to sit in the middle OR they should just do a better job of having more tour guides available with bigger cars in case of a last minute booking. We did appreciate the $20 refund, given $180 USD was pretty steep compared to the Chinese speaking tour ($100 more), and it wasn’t that comfortable (we are tall and pretty big people). Other than that, we enjoyed this tour very much and the stops along the way!
