Good intro to the night market food scene - It was fun and adventurous! It was enough food for me, but I am a fairly petite woman. Men and those with larger appetites might need more. If you're not used to spicy, don't get the spicy options. :) The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a good introduction to how the markets work and basic foods!

Book this tour (with Tâilé)!! - Don't miss this tour on your visit to Taipei! Tâilé is a wonderful guide, knowledgable, engaging and eminently likable - you'll have the best time exploring the culinary treasure troves that are the city's night markets and convenience stores. Even if you don't (yet!) love snack foods and 7Elevens as much as we (husband, 15-yo & I) do, this tour will convert you, both because they are objectively an incredibly good food choice and, more importantly, because you'll be roaming the streets with the best guide you could hope for.

Worth every penny and minute! - I’ve been on a lot of food tours around the world. This was easily in the top 10% worldwide. I’ve been to Taipei on a previous trip and to 4 different night markets. Only two dishes we had on this tour had I ever had before. Thus, this exposed me to a range of local dishes I would never have tried myself. Everything we tried was very good and our guide Juni was outstanding

Awesome tour! Leo rocks! - This was a really great tour. I would have never experienced all those unique foods if wouldn’t have done this tour. Our tour guide Leo was super cool and the group was awesome too. We were all strangers and now we are friends. Couldn’t ask for anything more!!!

A must do tour to start your trip - It's essential to take a tour like this to familiarise yourself with the Night Market, and Roro, our guide, was very enthusiastic and a great person to lead the tour. There was a mix of food, from high end, to more traditional, pushing you to eat something you might not have tried before. The stinky tofu was edible, but possibly not something I'd rush to have again! The food we had in Wang's Broth was disappointing, but that's not the fault of the tour - I would have gone there anyway. In the end, they showed us a good variety, so it likely there will be food you don't like, as much as there will be food you do like. The bao was delicious and the spring onion pancakes were surprisingly morish for something so simple. I would not say these night markets are the best Taipei has to offer, but if it was not for this, I'm not sure I would have had the confidence to explore other markets on my own, so doing this on the first night is a MUST! The following night I went to Raohe, and I would highly recommend it. Much busier, but with the knowledge this tour gave me under my belt, I was hustling around like a pro. Longshan temple is very impressive, so ensure you take a look round either before or after the tour.

Delicious - We had a really great, interesting and above all delicious evening. Our guide Taile showed us lots of great dishes, always told us a bit of background story and did a short 7-Eleven tour regarding local products 😅 (which I would like for each country) I can recommend the tour to anyone. Nobody went home hungry.

Okay experience, but not great - Hazel, our guide, tried… but the group was too large for a good Night Market experience. Also, the samples fluctuated from savory to sweet back to savory. Some of the samples weren’t that appealing. The best was the soup dumplings. Im sorry, but my expectation was higher.
