Please note that Taipei is quite a distance from the port, allowing limited time for exploration. This excursion includes a tour with a licensed guide, as well as a brief shopping and lunch break. However, due to time constraints, extensive shopping or a sit-down meal may not be feasible.

• Longshan Temple - Established in 1738 by Han immigrants from Fujian, this temple has served as a municipal, guild, and self-defense center, as well as a place of worship. Today, it is one of the city’s top religious sites and a prime venue for exploring both Taiwan’s vibrant folk faith and its unique temple arts and architecture.

• Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall - The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall commemorates the life and career of one of the Republic of China’s most prominent and world-renowned figures. The dramatic white marble structure contains an extensive library and museum.

• Dalongdong Bao An Temple - Located just across the street from the Confucius Temple, the Dalongdong Baoan Temple is another beautifully constructed building. Renowned for its decorative arts, Dalongdong Baoan Temple preserves in its halls a collection of woodwork, murals, and Koji ceramics created by Taiwanese masters of its time.

• Lin An Tai Historical House & Museum - Lin An Tai Historical House is one of the oldest houses in Taipei today. Built about 200 years ago, it was constructed in a southwest orientation at an auspicious location in terms of good Feng Shui.

• National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine - Built on a green hillside in 1969, the impressive National Martyrs’ Shrine was architecturally inspired by the Hall of Supreme Harmony in Beijing’s Forbidden City. The shrine is dedicated to the 390,000 soldiers who died in service to their country during the War of Resistance against Japan and the civil war between the Chinese Republican and communist forces.

• National Palace Museum - The National Palace Museum, named for its original institution in Beijing (Peking), houses one of the world’s largest collections of ancient Chinese artifacts, calligraphy, paintings, and porcelain, all objects brought over from the mainland in the late 1940s.
