Magdalene, the best guide you can find to discover the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw - We did the free tour of the Warsaw Jewish Ghetto and loved it. Magdalena explains everything super well, tells many anecdotes and gives an overview of everything that happened at the time accompanied by old photographs that help to better visualize what everything was like before. Highly recommended

Fabulous guide, learnt a lot - I learnt a lot in this tour from our fabulous guide Anna who also works at Polin and has genuine expertise in the field of Jewish history. Without this tour I felt it would be easy to visit Warsaw and leave not knowing enough about the Jewish experience of the war.

Interesting insight into Jewish Warsaw - This was an extremely interesting and insightful guided walk about the history of Jewish Warsaw. It really surprised me how big an area of Warsaw was the Ghetto and this walk gave a real sense of the scale and the boundaries. Sights included the remaining synagogue and part of the Ghetto wall. Andrzej is a brilliant guide and knows so much about all of the history. I learnt so much that was new to me and it was a memorable part of our three-night trip to Warsaw. Take cash to give at the end as we didn't realise he only took cash so only had a small amount to give him and not as much as we would have liked to have done.

Ana is great- really recommend! - Ana was a really great tour guide. She was really knowledgeable about the subject. She knew how to pace the tour - she gave us just enough info to keep it really interesting and not too much where I felt it was overly fact heavy. I was really engaged the whole time. Very much recommend for a good overall history of Judaism in Warsaw

Excellent tour - Highly recommend this tour. Anna was excellent. She is/was well-informed and personable and I appreciated she is from the area and was able to share the history from both a historical and personal perspective. It is hard to tackle such a large area in 2.5 hours and she pulled it off. She had pictures to supplement, a speaker which allowed us all to hear easily, considered where we altered standing so as to not impact others, was conscious of walking speed, and always made sure the group stayed together. Great tour. Highly recommend.

Missed a few important (advertised) sites on the Jewish tour... - Keep your eyes open for important historical markers and permanent maps all over the former ghetto area. A bit disappointed with the guide, Andrejz - tended to get a bit lost in his stories - left several cliffhangers ... and then forgot about them.

A waste of time. - First, some advice: 1. If you find a Walkative tour on booking sites like Getyourguide that requires upfront payment - don't book it. It is a free tour with an optional tip at the end. (We didn't know this, but fortunately, Getyourguide refunded the payment) 2. If your guide introduces himself as Lukasz or "Luke" - leave. If you stay, you will waste your time. And second, a review of the 2.5h tour "Warsaw: Jewish History Guided Walking Tour in English" with Lukasz/Luke. What we expected was a lot of information on Jewish history, life in the Ghetto, and to see remnants of the Ghetto. What we got was a show-off who started the tour by telling us about his backpack and its contents, his experience guiding in other countries, and why he is perfect for this job. After that, we walked a lot without seeing much related to the topic (less than half the stops were relevant). The information he provided was less than what we would have learned after spending 10 minutes reading on Wikipedia instead. He often got lost in explanations and illustrations of simple numbers (like 300 kcal or 3 m). His entire presentation might be suitable for elementary school children, but not for adults. He tried to answer all of the (few) questions, but most of the time it seemed, like he did not really get the point of the questions. At the end of that tour he started a trivia instead of doing his job and providing information on the topic. At no time during the tour he did adapt to the weather conditions (windy at about 1°C). While the other group (Spanish) ended the tour in the entrance area of a museum, we were standing in the middle of a windy square, listening to his suggestions for the tip and promoting himself and the tour company.
