A very nice and unique expierence. But bad service and poor staff. - We were a family of 6 and opted to take the miner’s route. It was a very positive experience, a very unique and interesting activity. The tour leader inside the mines was exceptional and very knowledgeable. She was friendly, polite and took care of every member of our cohort. However not the same can be said to the other members of the staff especially those handing out the equipment. They were unhelpful, rough, arrogant and did not understand a word in English. The same can be said for most of the staff outside the entrance of the building, who due to lack of English understanding left us standing for more than 20 minutes in the wrong que. They almost ruined our day since we nearly missed our time-slot to the entrance of the mines.

Wieliczka Mine is Awesome but Krakow needs Tour Guides (not just transfers) - We were picked up from our Warsaw hotel by a friendly transfer person and taken to the railway station (the drive took as long as it would take to walk to the station as the station can be seen from our hotel). We were escorted to the platform and given information for the return trip back to Warsaw. The tour provided by the Wieliczka Mine guide was absolutely fantastic - friendly, jovial and informative. We spent 1.5 hours in the mine descending to 130m and seeing many chambers and attractions. Unfortunately, the tour of Krakow was NON EXISTENT: Although the Krakow guide had collected us at the station and given us instructions on how to get back to Warsaw, that was the LAST we saw of him - After the Wieliczka Miine tour, another person picked us up and drove us to Krakow and then left us there for 5+ hours - THERE WAS NO TOUR OF KRAKOW. After walking around Krakow (the old town and castle are lovely) for 3+ hours, we had enough and paid 300PZL to get back to Warsaw earlier. We were extremely disappointed there was no Karkow tour provided. We give the mine 5 stars, the Warsaw driver 4 stars and the 2 Krakow guides ZERO (0) stars.

Worst tour ever!! - ***DO NOT PURCHASE TOUR***** If I could give this tour a negative number I would. First, very poor communication. The service provider booked me on a 5:24am train for a 4:30pm tour. That’s almost 8 hours of waiting for a tour I wasn’t told started that late. Then when I did get picked up the driver told me to go to the wrong location for my tour, the wrong time for pickup, and described that the van would say hello Krakow. None of that happened, I ended up getting into an argument with the pickup driver. I’ve been on over 200 trips with Viator and this experience makes me want to end our relationship! It was a complete waste of time and money!!!!
