Your guide will begin the tour with a walk through Warsaw Old Town, chronicling its historic trade routes, rise and fall of Poland’s first republic, and the last vestiges of hope. After that, you will enjoy a scenic drive across the Vistula river to reach the Praga district, the only part of Warsaw that has maintained its pre-WWII authenticity. Here, discover the streets that filmmakers adore and watch as aged tenements are transformed into deluxe retro residences. Next, you will pass the National Stadium on your way back to the city centre where you will witness Warsaw’s post-WWII reconstruction. Take in the dominating soviet-style architecture, expansive squares, and observe the evolution that occurred after the collapse of the communist regime in 1989.
