Wolf lair tour - Jack was great! He took the time to find out what I already knew & added.to this, rather than just rattling off a script. Had some great conversations on Polish history outside of the subject matter & was flexible to customize tour to my liking. Would definitely recommend!

Don’t be afraid to go later in the day! - Don’t be afraid to go in the late afternoon. We drove 5 hours across Poland in the early hours to make a day of it. Arrived about 10am and took almost an hour to find parking as the cars were backed up for miles leading up to the main gate. Great visit the place is very interesting and there’s a restaurant just inside the gates. As the place was so busy it was hard to get a picture that didn’t have dozens of tourists in them. When we were leaving around 5pm there were a few people starting their tour. I realised we missed a trick. They had the place to themselves, could take their time, wouldn’t have to fight crowds to get a picture and have their pick of tour guides. Don’t be afraid to go later in day. Getting there early isn’t a must.

Great experience! - Great small group tour. Friendly driver, good companions on the journey. Swieta Lipka was closed so the driver took us to a nearby medieval castle, which also was amazing. Lunch was included with the tour and the restaurant of choice was a nice family run place with traditional Polish food. My vegetarian preferences were honored. All in all, a day well spent. The tour was in March 2019, sorry I'm a little late writing this review.

Historic site - This destroyed headquarters of WW2 Germany is a sad reminder of some German officers attempt to end the war. A long days travel from Warsaw, (4hrs each way) but worth it for anyone interested in military history & one mans courage to try & save his country. Our guide was great & spoke excellent English it’s just a very long day touring to see it.

Great experience of both dark and bright events in Polish history - This is a long but rewarding excursion from Warsaw. The Wolfs lair was a huge complex of bunkers in the deep forests of east Prussia, used by Hitler and the German high command as head quarters almost throughout the second world war. Many ominous decisions were made here, like the decision to completely destroy Warsaw as a revenge for the 1944 uprising. This was also of course the place for the attempted assassination of Hitler in the summer of 1944. The fantastic tour guide Piotr made history come alive with his extensive knowledge of the place and of Polish history. He was receptive and willing to discuss also controversial and disputed topics. Included in the trip was also a lunch at nice restaurant serving traditional Polish food, that really tasted delicious. To top off the trip there was a visit to a beautiful baroque church with a fairy-tale like history. It was also planned by Piotr so that we had an opportunity to listen to a short organ concerto, played on the spectacular organ of the church. This trip is highly recommended.

Good trip - AB Poland has provided us with a good journey. We have a great guide Piotr and a driver who drives safely. The service throughout the journey is good. We had delicious dumplings in a very cosy restaurant for lunch. Very happy day! But very tired on the road!

Poor value for money - Whilst the bunker complex was interesting, spending 11 hours on a round trip from Warsaw for 1 hour at the site was poor value for money given the cost being 3x the headline rate and lunch comprising of 1/2 dozen tasteless Russian Dumplings & a glass of water with no choice of anything else in a Restaurant smelling of sewage & awaiting a funeral party!
