Hop-on Hop-Off Trolley Tour and Arlington National Cemetery Tour (Route)

Operating Schedule: Tours depart every half hour from the Washington Welcome Center (1001 E St. NW, Washington, DC 20004) beginning at 9am until 4pm. Tour operates daily. Shuttle available from Lincoln Memorial to transfer to Arlington National Cemetery for that portion of the tour. Shuttles run every half hour from 9am - 3:30pm

Embark on a 90-minute panoramic trolley journey around Washington, DC. The carefully planned route allows an efficient use of your time and offers a great overview of Washington, DC’s stunning landscapes and fascinating history. Board our specially designed Stadium Trolleys, which guarantee every seat is the best seat in the house.

The Trolley will make a total of 21 stops throughout the journey. Trolleys arrive at each stop every half hour, giving you the luxury to explore at your own speed. Spend an entire day discovering the key historical locations that make America’s Capital so iconic.

During the excursion, you’ll witness major landmarks including the White House, Washington Monument, US Capitol Building, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Union Station, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and an array of Smithsonian Museums, among others!

A layover at the Lincoln Memorial connects you to a shuttle heading for the Arlington National Cemetery. Here, you’ll embark on a 45-minute hop-on-hop-off tour steeped in history.

Very Short DC Trip - We only had one day in DC. This trolley took us to all the highlights. We got off at only a few stops and did the Arlington as well. Stops were very well explained. Wish we had Ryan all day, he did a great job!

Spectacular Trolley Ride - Driver was great!! Showed us much more than we ever expected to see in Washington DC! Would like to be more specific about pick up locations at each stop! It was great and well worth the money!!

Fun Times on the Trolly - Birdy, our driver did an awesome job explaining about all the sights and the history behind them. The only downside was on the day of our tour, the Pride parade was going on and Birdy did her best to get to as many stops as she could because of closed roads. I would recommend this tour.

Our trip to DC - Generally a great tour for first timers. On your website I could not find and exact list of stops. That would be nice. I also could not find an exact time for when we might catch the last trolley from any one spot. It was somewhat confusing as to where we were to get on the bus initially. The man who checked us in didn’t understand when I told him that we’d purchased the 21 stop tour (including Arlington) He said “this is just a 15 stop tour”. That all worked out but I was surprised he didn’t know. The driver of the Arlington bus was so thick accented that nobody on the bus could understand him. I’m guessing you have no control of that tour but you could better illuminate for travelers how that will go. I DID buy my ticket through you all so I would expect your advice on that tour as well. I will still recommend you to anyone. This is all just meant to be helpful. Thank you.

Disappointed - I was taking my granddaughter on a trip around Washington DC and hopped on and off at different locations. We found the audio lacking in voice volume and some of the audio units did not function on the different Hop On / Hop Off buses. And after previously experiencing a tour which provided live commentary, I found that the audio recording only talked about the major sites. Very disappointing to me and to my granddaughter. We will not recommend this or other audio recorded tours. It is worth the money to pay for live in person commentary.
