Great experience with KB tours! - We really enjoyed our tour—Kenny was extremely knowledgeable and brought great energy to the experience. A few pieces of feedback to consider: • Spend more time on the Howard University campus • Include the Jefferson Memorial in the itinerary • Extend the overall tour length so it doesn’t feel rushed—perhaps start the Frederick Douglass House portion earlier, since it has set tour times, to allow more flexibility for monument and building visits • Check in with guests about restroom stops • Provide water for guests, either complimentary or available for purchase in advance Thanks again for a meaningful and educational day!

Phenomenal Tour - I had an incredible experience on the tour led by Kenny, who was simply an outstanding guide. His deep knowledge of African American history, as well as the histories of other cultural groups in Washington, D.C., was truly impressive and unparalleled. From the moment the tour began, I felt at ease, as if I were his niece and he was sharing family stories with me. Kenny’s engaging storytelling made the history come alive, and his passion for the subject was evident in every word. I can't recommend this tour highly enough! As a delightful bonus, Kenny took us to a fantastic soul food restaurant called Ooh and Ahh at the end of the tour, where we enjoyed some delicious authentic cuisine. Overall, the entire experience was exceptional, and I left with a deeper appreciation for the rich history of D.C. and its diverse communities. Don’t miss this tour if you’re in the area!

A Must-Do Black History Tour – Informative, Engaging, and Worth Every Moment! - I had an amazing experience with KB Tours. So, I did this tour solo, in the heart of winter, and the group was pretty small (most likely due to the cold). Kenny, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about African American history and the history of Washington, DC. He was very accomodating and considerate of the weather - this is particularly important for us coastal folks used to mild temperatures. He was punctual, very communicative, highly responsive, funny, down-to-earth, just all-around pleasant to have as a guide. The tour van was sleek, clean, and a very comfortable ride. The sites we stopped at were relevant and meaningful - there was plenty of time to chat and get all the photos I wanted (except I was with an amazing group wish I got a photo of all of us - my only regret, so as a suggestion, make sure you make a point to do that on one of your stops). I also learned a lot at the Frederick Douglas house, that alone was a really enriching tour made me want to stay longer to explore more things, i.e. Harpers Ferry. Honestly, I'd say I got more than I paid for, I recommend this tour 100%.

Above and Beyond - It was above and beyond anything I could have imagined for my first visit to DC as I experienced the sights. The detailed retelling of the city's history and intricate placement of the route really was well worth the adventure.
