Martin Luther King, Jr.... - Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial is powerful. It communicates the fact that the work of fighting for the rights of everyone is far from done.

Elevated History - I really enjoyed so much of the background information that was provided so engagingly. Added to that, the visit to the Mary Macleod Bethune home was a highlight. It imparted much of what is untold history in some circles. The story of her work should make every American proud.

The Greatest - Definitely worth the time and money. The XULA graduate who was our guide, I believe his name is Dre was Amazing. He told us information we never knew. It was an eye opener not just for me but my teenage son and mother. We all loved it. Great fun and ability to meet wonderful people from other places as well. The tour of Fredick Douglas' home was great too. So much Wonderful history we were shown and taught. We would definitely go again with more family.

Eye opener.. loved it - Our tour guide was hilarious and very knowlegeable. A graduate XULA. He is a friendly person who made the experience well worth the time and money. We meet some good people from different states as well. The home of Fredrick Douglas was huge and filled with so much unknwon history. The information we learned on the tour and at the National African American museum was magnificent. The museum was a definite MUST do as an African American person. So much black history I was able to share with my son. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. By Winston Churchill

Nice for first timers to DC. - It was good to revisit what was like a second home decades before. The problem was communication with the tour guide. I received several text messages on the Frederick Douglas tour had changed. So I ignore the messages. Our tour was with the AAHistorical tour. Therefore we arrived at the time stated on our reservation. Only to learn the actual tour started one hour before. After several calls to the home office and finally spoke to the guide, only to learn that he was the one texting about the Frederick Douglas tour. He offered to meet us at the final tour site. I declined to meet them at the last tour stop i insist that we meet up with them at their next stop. He finally agreed. That's what we did. Do to the missed communication and missing the full tour, we are requesting a 3rd of the price refund.
