• Supreme Court - Located just east of the Capitol, the U.S. Supreme Court stands as the highest court in the judicial hierarchy of many legal systems. Completed in 1935, visitors can admire the Court’s magnificent exterior while exploring its rich history and traditions.

• Library of Congress - Following this, visitors will explore the Library of Congress, the official research library serving the U.S. Congress and recognized as the national library of the United States. As the oldest federal cultural institution in the country, the 1897 Thomas Jefferson Building showcases Italian-Renaissance style architecture. A highlight inside is the stunning circular main reading room, featuring a 160-foot ceiling.

• U.S. Capitol Visitor Center - Within the Capitol, the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center serves as a spacious underground extension of the Capitol complex, accommodating up to 4,000 tourists and providing additional space for the U.S. Congress. Here, visitors will learn about the distinctive features of the House, the Senate, and the U.S. legislative process, as well as the history and architectural development of the Capitol.

The tour concludes with our guide providing access passes and information on security protocols for the visitor galleries of the current chambers of the House of Representatives and/or the Senate, allowing for exploration at your own pace.

• Notes: The tour route may be affected by national celebrations. When this occurs, we will provide guests with an alternative route still being able to see all the highlights on the tour. In these cases we are unable to provide refunds or discounts. No large bags or suitcases are allowed during this tour. We recommend comfortable shoes, a bottle of water, umbrella in case of rain and hat during summer. Due to increased security measures at many attractions some can’t be visited from the inside.
