You will still see the shrines in Arlington while driving through, and will stop at the famous bronze sculpture depicting six marines raising the flagpole on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima on 2/19/1945. While the scene depicts one of the most famous clashes of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in defense of the United States since 1775. (15 min.)
