Join this engaging walking tour to discover some of Washington, DC’s most renowned monuments. Participants will learn about the individuals these monuments commemorate and the creators behind them. The group will engage in discussions about the significance of monuments and their purpose.
Be prepared to walk approximately a mile (1.6 km). While there are benches available, they are not present at every stop. It’s advisable to bring a water bottle. Most importantly, bring your curiosity and your camera!
Curious about the guide? Allow an introduction! Shelley is passionate about discussing historical figures. Her career began with the National Park Service, known for their distinctive hats. You might have encountered her at The Frederick Douglass House, Cape Cod National Seashore, or The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal during her seven years of service. Shelley holds a Master’s degree in museum studies and a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology and linguistics. She looks forward to meeting you!
