A Must Visit in Washington - Knowledgeable staff, impeccably well preserved, all by a volunteer based non-profit organization. Well worth the time!

BEAUTIFUL - Private donations have kept this BEAUTIFUL home of George Washington alive! Tours are VERY well told by Docents dressed in period clothes . Grandkids loved it!

Great experience; totally worth it! - We loved getting a ride down to Mt. Vernon with Loba Tours. We looked at using public transport but we definitely feel we got our money’s worth by booking this service instead. The drive takes about 30 mins (instead of over an hour on public transport) and we felt three hours was just right for seeing the highlights of Mt Vernon. Robert was a great guide who improved the quality of our experience, especially by showing us around Alexandria. Five stars; we loved it!

Mount Vernon trip - Loved the venue and history. Plenty to see and do but needed more time to see more. Having seen the place it would have been better to do a day trip

Patience - I was two mins late for the bus because parking was very difficult to find. It took off without my group. I was looking forward to having a guide talk about the history of the stops. I thought I would be okay under 5 mins.

Not as advertised - Mount Vernon and NO Alexandria walking tour - Dirty and smelling mini bus arrived late even though we were instructed to arrive 20 minutes before tour start. Friendly and talkative driver. Driver drove very safely and at least kindly stopped at Alexandria for we 5 guests to walk around for 15 minutes. Rude, unenthusiastic and unfriendly tour guide at Mount Vernon. Viator and tour operators’ website inaccurate and misleading as no walking tour with well qualified guide did not, and apparently never has (according to the driver and his boss) happened. Driver kindly dropped us at our hotel. Nearly $100 x 2 for our overall tour that delivered a $28 Mount Vernon admission ticket each plus a taxi ride to and from Mount Vernon including a drive through Alexandria (approx 20 miles max each way) seems rather excessive. Definitely NOT what was advertised!

Not worth it - This was just an expensive uber, not actually a tour at all. This was very misleading. You get picked up, dropped off to Mt Vernon, then given your tickets (driver literally buys them at the kiosk, you can do this yourself for the same price that they do) and you go off and explore on your own, you then get a meeting time to meet back, and get dropped back to the area you was picked up from. The time given wasn't enough, so you might aswell just get an uber so then you have more free will on how long you want to stay at Mt Vernon, we only got 3 hours there. It would have been half the price if we got an Uber ourselves there and back, and just paid for the tickets at the kiosk. The Old town Alexandria day trip, was just a drive through the town, on the way to Mt Vernon... not worth it! Get an Uber yourself or take the metro so you can actually get to explore Alexandria!! The driver was friendly and told us some facts along the way, however this wasn't enough to justify the price paid. Plus don't forget to take into account the tip you have to give. Mt Vernon itself was amazing, definitely recommend going, just not with this 'tour'

Don’t waste your money on this one. - This was not a tour. This was a lousy bus trip with a verbally incoherent and unsafe driver. There was zero to this trip that could not have been done better with an Uber. We were dropped off at the Mount Vernon visitor Center and picked up after. The driver even told us he was quitting to drive a school bus. I wouldn’t want him driving my kids. He just doesn’t have the skills.
