AMAZING Tour of Mount Vernon With River Cruise! - The Mount Vernon Tour was AMAZING!!! The cruise along the Potomac River was so relaxing & beautiful and the tour itself was very informative; our tour guide, Ray M., was attentive, knowledgeable and a real delight in every way! The only thing that was “just okay” was the lunch ticket; it was very limiting regarding what you could get. A special treat of the tour was hearing the flutist/drummer on the Mount Vernon lawn … all so very special!

Potomac Sail to Mount Vernon - Beautiful trip down the Potomac to Mount Vernon. Our guide was terrific guiding us through the property and back to DC. Lunch in the Visitor Center was a nice break from the summer humidity.

Good tour guide - JJANA was excellent tour guide, cruise was very nice and MTVernon grounds and museum were beautiful. However the only drawback was the mansion tour run by Mt Vernon was not great. We were packed, very packed into the mansion with very little time to see the room. This was very disappointing

A real treat - We had booked this visit for our last day as a cap it all type of experience. We were not disappointed! A warm welcome, a great cruise with breathtaking views of the Potomac, a very interesting visit, thorough without being too detailed but mind you if you needed any extra information Tyson provided it readily. A real great time. A must-do.

Great Guide , Don't plan on the meal. - To start with our tour guide was excellent. He was energetic and informational, kept the group together etc. The river cruise itself is done by another company; they did not do so well. Breakfast was a muffin and cup of coffee, they took our orders for our lunches for after the tour. When we got back to the boat after the tour we waited a long time for our lunch. This was because they ran out of bread, water, and all soda. That's right no bread or water! Also they ran out of meat and only had vegetarian left. This is after they took orders in the morning. I emailed city experiences and they replied " We will take this into consideration" and closed the support ticket immediately. Also the narration / PA system did not function and some of the wood from the bench seats upstairs was rotted through. When you short someone a meal I do not believe they should have to pay for the meal! I would recommend going to Mount Vernon with a guide for sure but not City Experiences. Again the guide was good but not the boat company.
