Embassy Row - (Drive by without stopping - 20 min)
After picking up from the hotel, the journey begins with a drive through EMBASSY ROW, renowned for its official diplomatic residences along Massachusetts Avenue. The tour guide will narrate the sightseeing, emphasizing key landmarks such as the Vice President’s official residence and the Washington National Cathedral, recognized as the sixth largest Gothic Basilica and the last constructed in the 20th century worldwide! The tour continues to the British Victorian & Federalist architecture, a National Historic Landmark named after King George II of England in 1751. - Georgetown University - The first stop of the four planned on the route is Georgetown University, established in 1789. The tour guide will share significant insights while exploring the campus and classrooms; a gem of an 18th-century Catholic Jesuit higher education institution.

Georgetown - (Drive by without stopping - 20 min.)
The tour proceeds through the heart of Georgetown, featuring dazzling shops, bohemian taverns, and fine dining establishments. On the way to the Kennedy Center, the iconic Watergate building is passed, known for the 1972 attempt to bug the Democratic Party offices, leading to President R. Nixon’s resignation in 1974. - John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts serves as the United States National Cultural Center. Named in 1964 as a living memorial to the assassinated 35th President, this stop includes visits to the Hall of Nations, Hall of States, a walk through the grand foyer, and admiration of the eight-foot bronze bust sculpture of JFK, crafted by American sculptor Robert Berks.
As JFK famously stated, inscribed on the walls along the river terrace, “This country cannot afford to be materially rich and spiritually poor.”
- U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial - Those who prefer not to walk up to The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier can choose to visit the United States Marine Corps War Memorial. While driving through, the shrines in Arlington will be visible, and there will be a stop at the renowned bronze sculpture depicting six marines raising the flagpole on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima on 2/19/1945. Although the scene portrays one of the most famous battles of World War II, the memorial honors all Marines who have sacrificed their lives for the United States since 1775.
- Lincoln Memorial - Dedicated on May 30th, 1922, this neoclassical temple, designed by American Beaux-Arts Architect Henry Bacon, honors the 16th President of the United States. Stand on the steps of the Memorial and admire the indirect reflection of the George Washington Monument on the shallow waters of the west side mall Pool.
Before returning you to your hotel or chosen restaurant to conclude your elegant evening, the tour will drive through the remaining illuminated memorials, including the south side of the White House, also known as the Truman Balcony.
