This area once sheltered individuals ranging from Lincoln to confederate spies in the Old Capitol Prison. We will visit a bar which the Senate decided to save and the only state embassy in Washington. We will also see the world’s biggest collection of Shakespeare’s folios. Our journey would then take us to the Supreme Court and the East Front of the Capitol. As we approach the world’s largest library, we will witness everything from intricate Italian marble carvings to the most recent technological advancement: electric light.
