Take time to visit the top attractions in Capitol Hill, on your own schedule! Your guide, Tony Spadafora, a Certified Master Guide, takes you on a journey to uncover hidden marvels among Washington’s landmarks. As an educator, scout chief, and entrepreneur, Tony has been making trips to DC unforgettable since 1983!
The adventure begins at Union Station, from where we will traverse through a few blocks of Washington, DC’s most genuine neighborhood. This area once sheltered individuals ranging from Lincoln to confederate spies in the Old Capitol Prison. We will visit a bar which the Senate decided to save and the only state embassy in Washington. We will also see the world’s biggest collection of Shakespeare’s folios. Our journey would then take us to the Supreme Court and the East Front of the Capitol. As we approach the world’s largest library, we will witness everything from intricate Italian marble carvings to the most recent technological advancement: electric light.
