Relaxing day at Mt Vernon. - Ayana, our tour guide, did a fantastic job of guiding us through the grounds and preparing us for our tour of the Mansion. She answered all of our questions along the way. She treated us like her family. She also did a great job of describing the sites along the way on our Potomac boat ride. This was our first day in DC and gave us some great tips for things we planned on seeing (and some that we then added to our itinerary based on her recommendations).

An excellent way to see Mt. Vernon - I took my son in this tour for his 12th birthday. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our day! Our tour guide, Amanda, went out of her way to make sure it was a special tour for my son. She was on time, knowledgeable, and just a wonderful guide to have! The boat ride offered nice views on our trip and the tour felt like a good, thorough walk through of the property. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Visiting Mount Vernon - Great tour made by Walks! Amanda was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and was with us the entire day. She was very kind and answered the 500 questions my 10-year-old asked her. The tour includes priority entrance to the river cruise. Then Amanda gave us a private tour of Mount Vernon‘s grounds and also gave us priority entrance to the actual mansion. We received a voucher for lunch. We then had priority entrance again to the river cruise back to DC. Overall, it was a very good experience for our family of five.

Good tour ! - The boat ride was very nice even though it was a rainy day. Our tour guide, Ryan, did a good job sharing information while making it fun. The group was small and everyone was very nice. Mount Vernon is a must see !

Mount Vernon Experience - Actually walking on the grounds of a place with so much history was my favorite aspect of the trip. The guides at each point of the tour were knowledgeable and pleasant but there was a feeling of being rushed. A quick glance into the room before they spoke and then they moved us on to the next docent. I understand their pressure but we didn't get to ask the many questions we had. The lunch was fine and there were many options. Unfortunately weather didn't help our boat trip out and back and we could have used more historical explanations as we made our way to Mount Vernon. All in all ... a worthwhile tour!

They need to do better - The grounds were awe inspiring. However, the organization of the tour was shoddy. The boat was late. And we had to wait for the guide to get meal vouchers.

Missed the Boat - We should have known from the first moment: tour guide was late to arrive in the morning. While the day was lovely, and the weather was beautiful, the tour guide did not manage the timing well, and we missed the boat ride home. To their credit, the company refunded us 30% and provided Uber transport back to our accommodation without extended discussion. But an experienced guide would never have let this happen.
