Embark on the Wasini Dolphin Tour to explore the historic Shimoni Caves, spot dolphins in the Indian Ocean, and snorkel in the protected Marine Park. Refreshments and experienced guides included.
- Wasini Island - The day begins with pickup from a respective hotel at around 7.30am. The drive from Diani to Shimoni is about an hour. As you drive to the historical small fishing village of Shimoni, you get the opportunity to see rural villages, sugar cane plantations, tall palm trees and lush greenery. On arrival, you will meet our guide, who will lead you to the Shimoni Piers to board our traditional Swahili Dhow for a cruise to Kisite Marine Park. (Soft drinks, water, beer and fruits are served on board). As you cruise through the Ocean, you have a 90% chance of spotting the Dolphins. You then snorkel and marvel at the rich marine life where corals, exotic fish and sea plants are. Also during LOW TIDES, there is a sandbank that pops out where you can relax and sunbathe. After Snorkeling and swimming, you sail to the mainland where you are served lunch at our open restaraunt with a very beautiful beach front view. After lunch you can decide to rest for about 15 mins before you are taken to the slave caves where slaves were stored during the old slave trade.(This is a 15-20 min tour) Departure from Shimoni is around 3.30pm or sometimes later than that. You are then dropped off at your hotel.

The reef offers sanctuary to over 200 dolphins (Spinner, humpback and bottle-nosed), which can be seen as single individuals or mostly in pods of 2-25 individuals breaking above the waves.
You get the opportunity to snorkel and marvel at the rich marine life where corals, exotic fish and sea plants are protected.
You get to enjoy refreshments (Fruits, Beers, Soda) and water on board as you sail and after snorkeling
On low tides, there is a sandbank that pops where you can relax and sunbathe
You get the chance to visit the Slave Caves and see where the slaves were stored during the old slave trading days before shipment to the Zanzibar slave market.
