Thaï cuisine - First the two ladies we’re really helpful in explaining everything from the market to the kitchen. The whole course was very informative and simple. I recommend it to anyone interested in Thai cuisine.

Warm and friendly host - Very friendly and accommodating I requested for halal and they obliged. A morning well spent. Transport was included. I highly recommend Galangal.

A lot of fun. Great for anyone who likes to cook. - Not knowing anything about cooking or Thai food is not a problem anymore. The guides are all great taking us to the market, showing us what to buy, teaching about how to prepare and finally eating.

Great cooking class! - We were picked at the hotel and after a short drive we settled in at Galangal’s. We got to pick 5 courses each before we set off. The team was incredible which allowed everyone to join, including our 10-year old, and enjoy the experience and the food we cooked was amazing.

10/10 experience - It was an amazing experience! Our tutors were very good at speaking English, therefore giving us enough information about the ingrediënts we used to make our dishes. The food was also exceptional, we made everything ourselves but our tutors knew exactly what it needed to make it even better. Overall i really recommend this cooking class for young and old!

Amazing Cooking Class - 100% Recommend - This class was amazing. Our instructor (New) was so informative and helpful, talking us through all the ingredients and steps to make the dishes. The class was structured in a very good way with time to eat in between before making more food so it wasn’t too overwhelming. She also sent us all the recipes following the class. This was a great morning spent in Chiang Mai and I would definitely recommend.

When in Chiang Mai, don’t miss Galangal. You will enjoy. - It was not my first time in the Galangal Cooking studio. I went there 10 years ago and wanted to repeat the experience with my husband. It was really great. The staff is so professional, warm and welcoming. We went to the market first to buy food. We had a great range of dishes with all explanations and comments needed. Dishes are actually quite easy to repeat at home. When having dinner, we had a great chat with lovely and cheerful Aoy who welcomed us so open heartedly. Don’t hesitate and take this class in Galangal. You will enjoy and eat as kings and queens. We will come back. Thank you, ladies! Missing you!

Great way to learn how to cook Thai food - and then eat it all too! - Highly recommend - Easy to book. Able to select in advance what we wanted to cook - choice meant that we were able to double the number of dishes my husband and I learnt to do. Did need to call the evening before to confirm pick up time but we were collected promptly from our hotel and taken with another couple to meet Aoy at her cookery school and then on to the local market. What a treat to have everything shown to us, smelt , touched, explained - away from the tourist focused markets in central Chaing Mai. Ingredients bought for cooking later. Aoy’s English great - so easy to ask questions, follow instructions and chat throughout the day. At the cookery school we each had our own cooking station. Equipment all provided and all vegetables & meat provided washed/peeled ready so we were able to spend more time doing seasoning, sauces and actually cooking. Plenty of time to enjoy cooking and eating afterwards. . Transport provided back to our hotel as well. What a feast! - no breakfast or dinner needed that day. Thoroughly enjoyed - food was all delicious and full recipe book emailed afterwards with information on all the ingredients as well as easy to follow recipes. Great value day.

Amazing cooking class - I was the only one to book the class that day and still they held it just for me. They picked me up and we went to the local market where they showed and explained all the ingredients. She explained and led me through the whole cooking step by step, it was really amazing. So friendly and just great people. I would highly recommend it and would always take the class again. The food was also really good and I enjoyed the experience so much. Thank you for one of my trips highlights.
